OK but a bit dissappointing

We love South Yarra and when we want that special weekend away usually stay nearby at another Accor property which we truly look forward to an amazing place to stay. The Olsen was OK but really lacked that something special. The bed was acceptable but not super comfortable as you'd expect with a 4 or 5 star property. The meals average and the facilities limited. Bathroom was good but a little small, furnishings were plush and luxurious but that didn't translate to a more comfortable or special stay. Would we stay here again? No. We'd go back across the road to our boutique Accor hotel.

It was a good stay

As someone who is vertically challenged, I could barely reach a glass from the upper cupboard. No chance I was reaching the toaster. Breakfast was very slow, given I was staying there for business reasons and needed to get to meetings. Wi-fi worked great.

Perfect for what we needed

We were going to the MCG, a special night for my son. We wanted some where in a great location and fairly close as we are from New Zealand. The tram was right out side the hotel. The room had 2 king beds and it had half a kitchen so we could walk across the road to Cole’s have a bite to eat prior to the game then in the morning a fabulous breakfast in the restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay.

Small rooms for the price.

A nice hotel in a great spot but overpriced and lacks parking options on a busy part of Melbourne. Rooms are tiny but well appointed. Staff were terrific and helpful even when they were busy. For the price you can get more generous hotel rooms of similar quality.

Conveniently Located in South Yarra

The room was on one of the higher floors as requested, very clean and spacious. The size of the room exceeded our expectations. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The bathroom and shower were good. The room didn't disappoint in any way.
