Mantra Midtown

A great located property. Very friendly staff. Room upgraded without request. However it was a tired run down apartment. Cracks in walls. Light socket hanging from ceiling. Couch looks like it was found on the street. It was very noisy from permanent resident the floor above running a home fitness centre to 10pm each night. Not much reception could do about it. Not ideal for a family stay.

We stayed for six nights. First impression friendly check in which was good as having seen our first room was straight back down for a chat as we were disappointed. Shown alternative room which was perfect for our stay. Hotel in CBD close to transport, walking distance of historic buildings and restaurants. Would happily stay again.

I've stayed before and just use this place to take a break from my normal 5-star accommodation because sometimes I just want a balcony, kitchen and laundry. The internet is very bad though - it's only reliable on a laptop if you sit right next to the front door, but if you move into the living room or bedroom, it drops out repeatedly and late at night, forget it. It's just as bad on level 12 as it is on 19. The carpet was very, very stained. Bedroom in 1206 needs proper blackout curtains. The staff are great.

Located in the city with onsite parking that makes checking and out a simple, easy process. Nice lap pool and gym facilities. The room was a great size and had full sized fridge and great kitchen. No issues at all.

Chose the Mantra Midtown for its location and price, and it didn’t disappoint. Location - good central location to walk to business appointments with no steep hills and plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes early morning and evening Room - high floor apartment with balcony. Plenty of natural light on the higher floors with city and sky views. Bathroom decent size, kitchenette and open living area. Bedroom a little small but comfortable. Couch too low if not as mobile as some. Did notice ashtray on balcony which definitely would have been an issue for me if neighbours were smoking. No daily housekeeping but will replenish linen on request Dining - no in-house dining but plenty nearby Team - Melody at front desk was lovely Note that this is a mixed purpose apartment building with residents as well. I’d recommend Mantra for mid-range stay of a few days Hope this is helpful. Thanks
