Mantra Parramatta

Had to get someone to fix the blinds as they were stuck closed, balcony filthy [ chewing gum on ledge, cigarette ash and generally unclean ] Dryer didn't work had to get someone to fix it, very old and not maintained well i.e. their are cracks in the walls and the bathroom cupboard door is cracked and peeling from water. Fridge in the middle of the lounge room. Needs a good overhaul and to be cleaned / repainted. Bed was comfortable. No milk in the fridge, coffee / tea facility and options poor and old [ dust on them ] Website said room service / restaurant - neither of these were available which is why I booked there so I didn't need to get uber eats, which I did and had to come and collect. I wasn't notified until I asked for the menu to order room service or where the restaurant was. Front desk staff were polite, well presented and very friendly. I won't stay here again - Room 1105

A great location. Close to transport, Westfield, and restaurants. The Mantra Restaurant was only open for breakfast whilst we were there, so the kitchenette was really useful. The Housekeeping team were OUTSTANDING.

Room was nice, nice and central in Parramatta. Price was good and parking was available. Upon checkin I parked my car, allotted carpark was taken, advised reception who happily allowed me to use another carpark. A wee bit inconvenient but ok. Took lift from carpark to 3rd floor couldn't find my room, came back down only to be told I needed to use another set of lifts. Again a wee bit inconvenient. What bothered me the most however was when I asked to have my ALL membership number added to my booking the person said words to the effect of, oh but your company booked it. She ultimately wrote my number down on the booking form, not sure if it ever got entered. I currently have ALL gold status, I don't like making a deal of it, so said no more. But I received no acknowledgement of my status and no offer of any of my ALL entitlements at Gold Status. What's the point of having a program if its not administered properly??? Reception team was largely professional apart from the above observations. Other than that the stay was good, only 1 night in and out so never really got a chance to experience more interaction with the staff. Im sure it will have been just an unfortunate once-off.

Only location is good but room service and standard rooms are not good. The rooms are smaller and there is no locker facility, no dental kits and no kitchenette are provided. This hotel is not worth of money we pay. AC was not working and if you complain then they will repair it, till then they don't care for their customer comfort.

On arrival at the Mantra Hotel Parramatta, I was greeted by a friendly and professional reception team - who made the stay memorable for the right reasons. When there was a minor issue with the bedding, reception quickly had this rectified, and even followed up to ensure that it had been fixed. This was a trend with the reception team, throughout the stay - they always went above and beyond. Location of the hotel is close to Westfield Parramatta, plenty of parking on-site at a reasonable price and Church St restaurant prescient only a 5 minute walk! Sadly, the last two years have not been kind on this hotel with rooms starting to really show their age. Nothing, that a good investment from the hotel owners wouldn't be able to fix and return this hotel back to it's former glory. Some of the issues include; - beds that are starting to sag due to their age - blinds that fall off the windows as the screws have broken - toilet roll holder that is missing a screw so keeps falling (and the the same with the shower curtain) - peeling paint on the balcony - tv's that are missing the bracket supports, meaning that tv's are at an uncomfortable angle - dusty rooms as housekeepers are run off their feet (sadly a trend in all hotels due to the lack of hospitality staff) and not a reflection of the hotel or staff that are working at their maximum to keep the hotels running! Also, the restaurant is still closed for dinner meaning that food options are limited on-site. This should change in Feb/March 2023, as plans are underway to reopen the restaurant!
