Mantra Ettalong Beach

Firstly the staff were awesome especially Brooke she was very accommodating and easy to deal with. The room was spacious,light and airy the view was lovely. Awesome pool,great location. Love the fact the kitchette is well stocked.

The Mantra Ettalong Beach has excellent staff and service and we’d especially like to mention Brooke who took a real interest in our stay beyond the usual questions. Brooke genuinely sought out ways to make our stay more enjoyable- a gregarious and genuine customer focussed receptionist.

Online Reservation was easy. Check-in on Arrival was seamless. Counter Staff very helpful. Room 224 was Clean, Tidy and very well designed to allow for selective Privacy. Large Balcony with Table and Chairs, overlooking Pool and, at small distance, Ettalong's sandy Waterfront. Large Robe and Comfortable Bed in the Bedroom. Smallish, but adequate, Bathroom. Spa/Bath a little unsafe. Needs additional Safety Rail. Adequate provision of Consumables. Towel Racks could be larger to accommodate two Towels. Sitting/Lounge Room very adequate. Kitchnette very adequate with Fridge, Microwave, and all other. Lack of Dining Facilities at the Hotel was largely, but not completely, compensated by the 'next door' RSL Dining area. Guest Parking was very adequate. Some years ago, when we came with larger Family, there was a SPA with availability for Massage, Facials etc. We noted that this is no longer available and, yet, it is still showing on the Net. Overall, we were very satisfied and we shall return.

We decided to have a short break and stayed at the Matra. the accommodation was clean, the staff friendly; and all up the Hotel fitted the bill for a few days of R&R. With plenty of Coffee shops; Eateries; and with the Workers Club next door - there is no shortage of convenient choices for a meal. This is a particularly good spot for a (young children) family.

Being connected to the club and also receiving a lovely upgrade were both things we appreciated during our overnight stay. We enjoyed our complimentary drinks and then took advantage of the daily dinner special at the club next door. Although we couldn't use our Accor cards, dinner was great value. We also loved breakfast at the club. Again, no Accor card discount. Check in and check out was easy, with lovely staff helping me with my valuable items. We couldn't get a late checkout past 12.00pm as Diamond Members, but access to the pool and showers came in handy. I was officiating at a wedding, our reason for staying here. We found the staff really friendly, down to earth and awesome. We read a lot of negative comments about this accommodation, but our room was immaculate, the bed comfortable and facilities excellent. I just advise you to try it for yourself. Beautiful views of the pool and also the ocean and mountains made our little stay a wonderful one.
