We stayed for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit which certainly was not worth the money we paid. Bare kitchen utensils and crockery and cutlery. The wooden furniture was worn and the couches old and not comfortable. Sunday night, the power went out in the unit and we were asked to move rooms - at 7:00pm with a 5 year old and a 91 year old! We declined and staff said the general manager was asleep and could not help and the electrician was to come to the unit at 9:00am the next morning. We did checked the unit's electric board and flicked the correct switch and the power came on except for the power points in the kitchen area. We left the unit at 8:00am to find a cafe. Try feeding a 5 year old without power in the kitchen! The ACCOR brand is declining across a number of hotels I have stayed in and I will consider my membership with ACCOR at the end of this year.

In regard to the power issue in your apartment, I’d like to clarify that our team did everything within our ability to assist you. When the power points began tripping on Sunday evening, we attempted to troubleshoot the issue and even contacted an electrician for advice despite the late hour. However, we understand you advised our team not to return to the room. It was indeed a difficult situation, particularly as it occurred outside of standard hours, and we do hope you can appreciate that while our team are not licensed electricians, we tried our best to resolve the matter promptly. We also understand how frustrating it must have been not being able to use the kitchen properly, especially with young and elderly family members in tow. This was certainly not the experience we hoped for you. Regarding the room condition, we’re disappointed to hear you felt it was not up to standard. We do encourage all guests to reach out to us during their stay if anything is not quite right—we would have gladly looked into the possibility of moving you to another apartment if we had known you were unhappy. We truly value your loyalty as an Accor member and regret that this experience has led you to question your membership. Overpriced for one night stays and request high floor. Our level 1 studio for $285 was smelly and lacked privacy. Stayed in Coolangatta many times visiting family over the years and this has been the worst room for the most money. Wouldn't stay here again. Great location staff helpful

It’s important to note that all of our Studio Rooms are located at the rear of the property and span from the ground floor up to level 2. They are a more compact style of accommodation, which may not suit everyone—particularly those looking for more privacy or a higher-floor outlook. For future visits, we’d highly recommend booking one of our self-contained apartments instead. These are located higher up the building and offer stunning ocean views, larger living areas, and greater overall comfort—ideal for longer stays or guests seeking a more premium experience. The Mantra is right across the road from Coolangatta beach with 2 patrolled areas for swimming. It is in the middle of the local restaurants and shopping, and supermarket is half a block away. The units are very comfortable and very well equipped and the views are fabulous. They are spotlessly clean. Our 2 bedroom appartments had 2 bathrooms, a large fridge and full size oven. The pool is a good size and the spa very popular. The staff were most helpful. I will certainly be going back!

Our favorite hotel in Coolangatta. Staff are amazing & do everything possible to make your stay memorable. Apartments are spotless & well appointed with great views. Location is perfect, close to beach, restaurants & shopping complex. In my opinion the best hotel in Coolangatta. A wonderful experience, would highly recommend

Definitely a dated property with bare bone rooms. Nothing luxurious but would certainly be great for a family beach trip. Laundry was in each unit which was convenient. Note the WiFi was unreliable. However it was clean, the staff was wonderful, and the location can’t be beat!
