Very dirty shower recess, mattress very uncomfortable constant dripping tap in the bathroom. Bedroom fan very dirty, I had to request a hair dryer. Limited TV Chanels. The apartment needs to be updated. The in room safe could not be set as per the instruction sheet

We booked through Qantas and prepaid for what we thought would be the best and most modern apartment 3 bedroom Deluxe. We were allocated Unit 34 which had its own lock up garage (only 1 car spot). Unfortunately it was not what we’d hoped. I brought my own bucket of cleaning products in anticipation of level of cleanliness not being up to my standards. Inside every surface was dirty. I went through 2 full rolls of Viva paper towel. Kitchen benchtops looked new and of great quality, but they were very dusty and grimy especially around the sink area. There was dust on the ceiling fans about 2cm thick. Dust on the artwork in every room. Dust on the glass lamps. I experienced severe asthma. Dirty marks all over the bedroom walls. Bathroom floors had other people’s hair. The day we checked in and started unpacking we noticed that the sheets on every bed had lots of hairs all over them. I went straight to reception to report the issue and received an apology and some 'clean' sheets that I could remake the beds myself with as all the cleaning staff had gone home. While making the beds I discovered the pink quilt covers had several large brown stains on them. Was it blood or something else? I could not have my family sleeping on disgusting bedding so I returned to Reception and by then they had gone home for the day too. Other issues I experienced were broken/loose tap in toilet room, cockroaches and spiders, hair on the toilets that did not belong to my family members, no boxes of tissues supplied, no regular clean towels, filthy dirty washing machine, dryer and sink, vacuum that had never been emptied, kettle was extremely dirty on the outside and had limescale inside, BBQs and bbq area was taped off and out of order. The rear screen door fell off it's hinges and almost injured my children. I understand the place is for families with kids and with that comes noise, but there were a lot of unsupervised kids jumping off the pool bridges and being extremely noisy. The bins at Breakfree Broadbeach are also emptied very early before 6am and noisily. We were also lucky enough to be there while they were removing trees from the resort. I know this is a really negative review, but there were a few positives; pool area was good for the kids they loved it. And the beds were very plush and comfy once the dirty sheets/blankets were changed. However I will NEVER stay there again!

5 months ago we booked and paid in full ($1200) for a 3 bedroom apt from 14-18 Nov. BAM! The $ were deducted straight off our credit card. 3 days before our arrival we receive an email stating we have been downgraded to 2 x2bedroom apts and an extra $620 is required to cover the 2nd apartment. How rude! The lame excuse given was that the resort was overbooked so our booking had to be amended….not you would call good customer service. This holiday was a family get together and our 4 rooms were scattered over the complex despite several requests months before our arrival dates for us to be near each other. Bottom line, after contacting senior Management at Acoll they graciously waived the 2 nd fee of $620 for the second 2 bedroom apartment - however their entire attitude was that. “We can change the booking and you have to accept this”. Totally unprofessional on all levels. Also they claim they were booked solid - which wasn’t true and the main pool was out of service for 4 of the 5 days we were there as they were undertaking pool maintenance. We will definitely “break free” from this chain of resorts- Your organisation -in this instance - showed total disrespect and contempt towards us (your paying customers) and we will definitely not ever visit your resorts again and will duly inform ALL of our family and friends of your rude and unprofessional behaviour towards us. Also the Wi Fi is not free and very expensive.

Once upon a time it was lovely! Needs a paint and the decks need major cleaning Wouldn’t want to sit outside and eat breakfast Beds need new mattresses! Good pool However loads of people in it who weren’t staying at resort

Don’t stay here until the mould issues are rectified and the quality of the beds, bedding, and cutout match the high price. The pool and kids area playground are great for kids though. There’s no restaurant or food onsite. Restaurants are a few blocks walk away.
