Location of this Hotel is perfect !! But let’s face it Sydney is perfect! Mantra 2 Bond St is close to everything for getting around with Circular Quay so close for Ferries & Trams etc Our spacious room was up to date and nicely designed : it was split level and had a great kitchen & living area so it was easy to do a ‘little self catering’ after a few weeks on the road. Good bar in a very comfortable lobby and reception staff always very helpful. We were there at a time when the roof top pool area was closed so that was unfortunate - that would have topped it off nicely ! Highly recommend a stay here!!

When shopping around for accommodation in Sydney, we decided to splurge for once so that we could be in the middle of the action. This was probably the most expensive accommodation we ever rented and it turned out to be the worse for cleanliness. We arrived late (after 11pm) and immediately upon entering we found the lobby uninviting. The gentleman at the reception was very nice and since we were starving gave us some ideas where we could find food. We went up to the room first. We found the elevator doors grimy and once the doors opened on our floor, our heart sank when we saw the very dirty unvacuumed carpet. I always do a check for bed bugs before we get comfortable in a room but what I found were multiple hairs in the bed. We went back downstairs to report that and the front desk agent was apologetic but at lost as to what to do since the hotel was full and no housekeeping was available. He said maybe he could find clean sheets but didn’t know how to change the bed. Told him I’d do it. We got the sheets when we came back from eating and I changed the bed but I was grossed out. Yes the hotel is old and tired but it’s more than that, it’s in need of a deep scrubbing. It’s too bad because the location was awesome, the bed was comfortable, the room had great amenities and the room was pretty quiet (7th floor). The following day, I expected someone would come to make the bed properly but no, housekeeping only dumped 2 new towels on the bathroom counter and did not even bother leaving a foot towel to replace the one they took. Our bed was remade only on the third day. We still had a good stay but we were left disgusted about the cleanliness of the hotel overall. Luckily, I had some Clorox sheets with me and gave a good wipe to the main surfaces we were going to touch. I can tell you there was grime on those sheets once I was done. Service wise, since I was unable to call, I had sent an email ahead of time to let the hotel know we were probably going to have a late checkout. I got a response days later once we had left! I would absolutely not go back.

Enjoyed a midweek overnight stay at this very comfortable hotel. I had a room at the rear of the hotel, looking onto a narrow lane way but the building opposite had its old windows bricked up so my limited view was completely private. And there was no noise from the front of the hotel which faces onto George Street and the light rail. At time of stay the onsite restaurant was closed for renovations so in room breakfast was offered. A generous portion of bacon and egg roll, fruit salad, juice and pain au chocolate was delivered promptly at the time requested. My room was on a slight mezzanine; the sitting room and fully equipped kitchen were two steps below the bed and bathroom. The lounge sofa is actually a double sofa bed. Will definitely stay here again. There is a handy tool on the app which shows you the room rates per night and the fluctuations between weeknights and weekends.

Got it for a decent price so it was definitely good value for what I paid. Was easy enough to leave bags in the morning - studio room I had was bigger than any other studios I have ever stayed in. Rooms slowly showing a bit of age but didn't bother me/ Breakfast was great - did get it for free as a platinum member - but was super tasty and service was quick and friendly. Would recommend at the right price.

Hotel is very dated and nothing like the website shows. Room amenities list said that Nespresso machine, bottle water and slippers included. None of them were in room. Shower door leaking so water pours all over floor.
