Took the train from airport to Wynyard station and got off and walked about 10 minutes to hotel. Had a lot of luggage so glad we booked the bigger king room as we were there 8 nights. Excellent location near light rail, buses, sights and many restaurants and coffee shops. Coles grocery, pharmacy and beautiful QVB building right around the corner. Going the other direction you can walk short distance and escalator down to Barangaroo Wharf. Lots of fancy restaurants and atmosphere. We ate at a pleasant meal at the reasonably priced Pontoon Bar on the wharf. Hope to return. Nomi, Sofia and Maxime made it a 5 star experience for us.

The Lovely Clarence (they should rename it this).

Loved my two recent stays at The Clarence. It is perfectly located a short walk from food, shopping and the train to the airport. The rooms are lovely and contain everything needed for a short stay. The staff are very well chosen, with a special mention of Maxime on reception who charmingly accommodated my very basic attempts at speaking French and always had a smile. Sophia also a pleasure to talk to. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest I have met in a hotel. I'll definitely return, and am looking forward to trying the restaurant when it opens.

In a Sydney for a weekend by myself & chose this hotel for the location. It is a refurbished hotel all new features but the whole hotel was space limited. The building is very narrow with the rooms even more so. It is suitable for a single person, though space between the bed and the wall is less than 30 centimetres. With a couple the space would be very cramped. Staff were friendly and happy to store my luggage when I was leaving.

Will definitely book The Clarence again when visiting Sydney next. The whole hotel is newly renovated, with the space in the rooms laid out perfectly. Comfy beds and wonderful staff, especially Naomi who was extremely helpful with our reservation. For the price in this area, it was phenomenal value. Great bars,resturants and transport on the door step too. Highly recommend!!
