I have stayed here a few times. The only thing I was disappointed in was inconsistency with Happy hour prices and lack of transparency on what is discounted during happy hour. One night we received $4 off a beer, the next night we were told that wasn't included in happy hour.

Mantra 2 Bond Street hotel location is excellent.

We had a family room (3 of us) in February 2025 for 2 nights - 1 king bed, kitchen, and pullout sofa bed room #310 The good things about this hotel: The Location is fantastic, within walking distance to Circular Key and The Rocks. A food market is over the road, and transport is at the front. It was easy to walk from the airport link train to this hotel. There is no road noise as it is on a pedestrian street with trolleys. The king bed was comfortable. The not-so-good things about this hotel: The pool was under construction when we were there. The pull-out sofa bed mattress is very thin, so you can feel the springs, and there was a stain on the mattress. There was no bedding for this sofa bed, we had to ask for it. The bathroom is very small, and the shower door doesn't seal, so it leaks water all over the floor. Beware that there is a half-inch difference between the bathroom tile and the entrance to the bathroom; I smashed my toe on it. You have to be aware of this, or you will trip up going into the bathroom. The shampoo in the shower was watered down; it ran through your fingers before you had a chance to get it on your hair.

Great stay, spacious studio room, good size bedroom with tv and comfortable bed, down 2 steps to living area with 2nd larger tv and fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine and dryer in shower room - made use of those as we’d been travelling for nearly a month at this point. We didn’t have any problems with flooding from the shower as had read about it and were careful. Double french doors to a very small balcony. We only had a view of retail/restaurant roof tops so not the best, but as not spending an awful lot of time there it wasn’t a problem for us. Really central location. Turn right out of hotel and The Rocks is a 5min walk with lots of places to eat out, harbour and Central Quay 10mins walk - views of Opera House and Bridge stunning esp at night. Turn left and Wynyard station just 1 min walk away (direct line to airport) and loads of shopping! As some said the decor is a little tired, but room kept really clean, linen and bedding smelt lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Aircon control is in the wardrobe - it took us 24hrs to realise this lol, was a bit warm until then. We would stay again if we ever get the chance to visit Sydney again.

2 stars because the house keeping staff provide very good service and can only do their best with what they have. The current maintenance is external which is very noisy but the rooms are in dire need of repair. The room phone did not work. The bathroom floods and management were very apathetic. Although it has a great location I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Great location and spacious rooms and this is just the basic studio apartment. I’ve stayed in the executive, the one bedroom and the two bedroom, and all rooms are very spacious. Check in process was a little slow compared to the Novotel we were just at which had self serve check in which spots out your hotel room card and self serve check out. Waited about 15 mins in line. Nice touch with the free filtered water in the lobby. Bathrooms are a little old. Was freezing till I read another comment that the thermostat was in the cupboard. Would still recommend this hotel sure to the size of the rooms and the location. Right next to Wynyard station which is also helpful.
