The hotel front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and appreciated. The room was comfortable but could have been cleaner. There was dust buildup behind the doors and had clearly been neglected for some time. Chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The cleaning staff really presented as disliking their jobs and were really not into cleaning. They were observed washing the glasses in our bathroom sink with just bare hands and no soap. Location was good with lots of sites and restaurants close by.

IBIS Sydney Barangaroo was my base for a recent fun run in Sydney and as usual the IBIS outperformed themselves with such an exquisite and elegant hotel. The rooms are kept well cleaned and maintained with luxurious toiletries included.

Booked 3 rooms for attendance at a dinner at Barangaroo. A huge shout-out to Assistant Manager Peter, who went above and beyond and sorted out our muddled reservations for us (NOT the hotel's fault!). A great place to stay, prime location and amazing, lovely staff. Will definitely stay here in the future.

Stayed here two nights over the vivid weekend. Excellent location. Just a short walk to Barangaroo, Barangaroo ferry. Great friendly helpful service. Easy parking. Bar and cafe great.

Basic hotel

The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful! The hotel is conveniently located in Barangaroo, within walking distance to most amenities. The gym is quite good and appears to have been recently renovated. The only drawback for me was the extremely small room, which felt quite cold and cramped, and the shower head didn't provide a strong water flow. I believe the price is a bit on the higher side for a basic hotel, especially when you can pay just $30-50 more and stay at a luxurious 5-star hotel down the road. I left a day earlier because I was a bit uncomfortable in the room.
