The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. It is so central to everything in Sydney with a light rail stop at the front door. We received a room upgrade which was welcomed. The suite needs a bit of renovation in some areas, but was clean and good value for money.

Lovely location and friendly staff. Easy walking distance to train, tram and bus. Easy walking distance to Sydney harbour around 30 mins . Good facilities within the two bedroom apartment. Check in and check out was was quick and smooth

A wannabe 4-star property. We checked into the Mantra Sydney Central, located on George/Sussex Street on Thurs 15 Dec 2022. Our rate included daily housekeeping, which due to post-COVID measures, was to be arranged "on request" the day before by 7pm, which we agreed to. We called Reception on Fri 16 Dec around 5pm - it might've been better to make the request in-person at the counter because it took a good 2 minutes or more for someone to answer the phone. We requested for housekeeping services the next day Sat 17 Dec as we would be out the whole day and there would've been plenty of time to be out of the way of the housekeeping staff. Lo and behold, we came back to the room on Sat afternoon and the room was not cleaned. We went down to Reception to complain - again, no one answered our call and the phone rang for ages - and we were told that our room was missed out/forgotten, the housekeeping staff had gone home and perfunctory apologies were made. All the receptionist could offer was a fresh set of towels and a promise that the room would be cleaned first thing after we went out at 10am the next morning (it wasn't. We came back to the room around 1pm and the room still was not done). No other effort was made to resolve the issue. This isn't acceptable, nor is it expected from an Accor property like the Mantra. What if a guest with a child had an 'accident' and REALLY needed the room cleaned and rubbish removed? In post-COVID times, hygiene should be top-of-mind, shouldn’t it? The location of the property is great, but service standards are much to be desired, from frontline to the cleaning staff.

Hotel is near to the harbour and many tourist places that you can walk to. Was clean and relatively quite but right next to China Town which is very busy. Only stayed 1 night and no issues. No concerns.

Great hotel and good value. Hotel could do with a little refresh but nothing major wrong. The staff were amazingly helpful and rooms were very clean. I would definitely return on business or leisure trip. Discounted parking across the road from hotel.
