Refined luxury in a prime location

We stayed at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur for 4 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is excellent, directly connected to Pavilion Mall, on Bukit Bintang, and just a short walk to Jalan Alor, making it extremely convenient for shopping, sit down dining and Street food. Our suite was spacious and well designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering impressive views of the KL skyline, visible from the shower and bathtub. It was a comfortable and relaxing space to return to each day. Service was consistently impeccable throughout our stay, with friendly and attentive staff at every touchpoint. We had a late flight home and was kindly given a late check out which was a real blessing as we were able to freshen up before departing to the airport. A special shout out to Izzul, who went above and beyond. He took great care of my family during our frequent visits to the pool. Thank you also the reception staff who accommodated our requests at every turn. The room was clean, functional, and well equipped, with quality amenities and toiletries. The swimming pool offered beautiful city views and was pleasantly quiet. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of Malaysian and Western options, enjoyed alongside great views from the restaurant. Overall, compared to larger hotel chains in the luxury category, the Banyan Tree hotel offers a more personal, boutique-style experience in a prime location. We would happily stay again.

A Truly Memorable Stay with Breathtaking Views and Amazing Food

The views here are breathtaking, and every staff member is incredibly kind. I especially want to thank Myna for being so helpful during breakfast. The local Malaysian food was delicious, and the subtle spiciness was perfect for a Korean palate. Dipping Roti Canai into chicken soup, along with the Nasi Lemak and Curry Mee, was a true highlight of my stay. I had such a happy and memorable time here!"

A Luxurious Stay with a Disappointing Rooftop Dining Experience

This is one of my favorite luxury hotels. I chose to stay here on December 6 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had requested a simple room decoration in advance and received a reply saying “no problem,” but unfortunately there was no decoration when we checked in. However, the staff upgraded our room for free from a Sky Suite to a Sanctuary Suite, so I guess that made up for it, haha—thank you. The hotel room is very beautiful and luxurious, and the room we stayed in this time also had a stunning view. As usual, everything else was great. This wasn’t my first stay here; you can refer to my previous reviews for more detailed comments. However, this time there was one unpleasant experience, which was at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Vertigo Too. The service was quite poor. I had made a reservation for 7:00 PM (for my wife’s birthday dinner), but when we arrived at the restaurant, surprisingly none of the staff seemed to know about it. They even told me that reservations were not necessary and that it was walk-in, so we could just find any table. Luckily, there were still tables available that day—what if it had been fully occupied? After we were seated and looked at the menu, no waiter came to take our order, even though there were several staff members standing at the counter. Only the female manager seemed very busy, walking back and forth, and in the end she personally came to take our order. As for the food, we ordered a steak and a lamb chop. The steak was cooked medium-well as requested, so that was fine. But the lamb chop was only half-cooked, even though I had clearly asked for it to be well-done. I asked a waiter to take it back to be cooked again and specifically reminded him that I wanted it well-done. When it came back, it was still not fully cooked. Honestly, I was speechless. In conclusion, everything else was great with no issues. The only negative experience during this stay was the Vertigo Too restaurant.

Had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. From the room, ambience, to the service — everything was top-notch and truly relaxing. Special thanks to Raynalin from the #HG Breakfast Team for the excellent service during breakfast. She was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Her professionalism and warm attitude really stood out and made our morning even more pleasant. Overall, a great experience and definitely a place I would recommend. Looking forward to coming back again!
