I had a truly exceptional experience at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul from the moment I arrived! You can tell the entire team takes great pride in what they do. Their commitment to excellence showed in every interaction throughout my stay. From the warm welcome at reception to the thoughtful service each day, everything was seamless. I especially want to thank Camille from the concierge team and the front desk staff for their kindness and professionalism which really made my stay extra special. My room was spacious, spotless, and so comfortable, with an incredible view of the Han River and sunrise every morning. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city. The location was also very convenient, just a short walk to the subway, the Hyundai and IFC malls, Yeouido Park, and the Han River. I also loved the gym, which was very well-equipped, and the Spectrum restaurant served a fantastic buffet. The hostess and staff there were always warm and attentive. Huge thanks to Executive Chef Andre and Sous Chef Kevin, who went above and beyond to accommodate my vegan diet both at the buffet and through room service. I really appreciated that extra care. Finally, a big thank-you to General Manager Mr. Franck Loison for leading such a fantastic team and keeping the hotel at such a high standard. I wholeheartedly recommend the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul to anyone visiting the city. It genuinely felt like a home away from home, and I can’t wait to return on my next trip!

Best buffet in town

Had buffet at Spectrum where we spent a nice evening with my kids. There is a large choice of qualitative products. Everything is fresh and the staff is great. I loved the Peking duck and the crepe Suzette especially. I also had the chance to meet the General manager Franck, who is very welcoming and seems really dedicated to his work.

Great hotel, amazing staff.

This was my 4th stay here in the past year and this time I returned with my 3 adult kids. The Premier Suite was beautiful, but I keep returning because of the people. They are kind, attentive and you're always greeted with a smile. I wanted to give a shout out to Damien, who upon checking in, handed me a card and a box of sweets from Busan as he knew I was returning; Sunny, who's always so cheerful, Marco, very kind and helpful, Julie on the Gold Floor, and Thomas who I enjoyed having conversations with while waiting for my taxi. The rooms are great and so is the breakfast at the Spectrum, filled with a great variety of both North American and Korean offerings. I can't recall the names of the people at the Spectrum but the gentleman, who seems to be a manager or lead has always been so kind and welcoming. Cheers!

Dear Xuelian J., We are truly sorry to learn of the unpleasant experience you and Mr. Yuan encountered during your stay at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, and please accept our sincere apologies. Guest satisfaction and fair handling of all matters are our highest priorities, and we deeply regret that this incident has caused you disappointment. Following a thorough review with our General Manager and the relevant departments, we confirm that the proposed compensation amount of KRW 1,100,000 was based on a quotation for a partial carpet replacement (1m x 1m) rather than a full replacement. This amount includes fixed costs for labor and waste disposal required for the repair process. Please note that replacing only a portion of the carpet is technically challenging due to the need to match the pattern and color precisely. A full replacement would normally cost approximately KRW 4,000,000. However, considering your circumstances, the hotel exercised goodwill by limiting the charge to the affected area only. We kindly ask for your understanding that during the replacement period, the room must remain out of service for several days or even weeks, resulting in operational restrictions. We sincerely apologize if our communication at the time of check-out was not sufficient. Multiple cleaning methods were carefully attempted to remove the stain, but unfortunately, complete restoration was not possible, and replacement was deemed necessary. We understand that insufficient explanation may have caused further concern. Once again, please be assured that this request was not unreasonable but rather a minimized charge based on a partial replacement in order to reduce the impact on you as much as possible. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this matter, and we thank you for taking the time to communicate with us. Should you wish to further discuss this issue, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Although this experience has been regrettable, we sincerely hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a more satisfying stay.
