Facilities were clean and perfect and my kid enjoyed horse riding especially. Even though the weather condition was not proper for the swim but the swimming pool was awesome.

Beautiful hotel unfortunately staff needs more training as some weren't helpful (i.e. didn't call buggy when asked) or gave misleading information. Located at a historical site, they should also have basic knowledge of history. Food was good but service was slow. Linh and Nhan in reception were great!

We came really wanting to love this property

We came really wanting to love this property and the grandeur, immense size and location certainly has that wow factor and there is no denying that. But the total lack of English and disorganisation certainly let this supposedly 5 star hotel down over our 4 night stay. The opulent rooms were nice on entry but highly impractical. Breakfasts were disappointing with poorly trained staff, bread and baked products which are usually a highlight in Vietnam Hotels of this standard were stale and dry every day. On the other hand we dined twice while here and the staff provided great service and food was of good quality. Drinks and canapes served in the Thien Quan lounge again inconsistent over the 4 days we were there. On the upside of all this was probably one of the best swimming pools l have swum in. Our concierge Ivy tried her hardest to look after us and it was much appreciated. If you are a lover of 13th century Asian architecture, mountain walks and peace and serenity this is the place for you but don't expect a 5 star hotel experience. This has been a hard review to write as we loved the immensity of the hotel and its location but let down by the service of a hotel of this standard.

Great hotel and services. Amazing breakfast. Only downside was that our tube in our suite was broken and they didn’t manage to fix the issue during our stay.
