Excellent hotel but poor room

The hotel has exceptional facilities for children and families. The food was amazing. The location of the hotel is 15 min cab drive from the airport so is conveniently located. The only issue we had was the room we were given- Aqua side. It was a deluxe room on the top floor which meant we had to climb 2 flights of winding stairs with our baby. There was no lift. Our room was a 3 star- very average, and in need of serious renovation. We had a birds nest above our bathroom (see video) and the hot water for the shower was very slow.

A fantastic hotel with great facilities, the hotel staff are attentive and listen to feedback, if I was to make a suggestion it would be review making both the X Lounge and the Piano Bar over 18’s only from 20.00hrs as there are lots of younger children in the hotel, there are other bars and entertainment spaces better suited to younger families so they will still have access to facilities.

First time at rixos hotel and 100 pec going back one other hotel All. Staff round hotel amzing and treat each one with repect and also gave us amzing time Foof choice in all different restaurants was amzing Thank making our 2 weeks enjoy and memories

The hotel is really a 5 star hotel, I am sure the service etc were 5 stars at the beginning. Everything was designed and built perfectly to the finest details but it seems they have to do some improvements if they want to keep their status. To give some examples (and some photos): - The picture of the rooms are not the actual rooms, at least this was so for our room. There was very little room left to move around with three beds in it (see pic). - The toilet and the shower are 1 sq.m each and not very clean (see pic). - The only telephone in the room is in the toilet cabin (see pic). - The room floor was not cleaned properly, there were sticky remains on the floor next to a bed (see pic). - The map and the information sheet given during check-in are not accurate or up-to-date. There is a bar named "X Lounge" but it is not shown on both documents, The location is named Tirana Bech Bar on the map. I am sure there are more issues like this. - The phone numbers for the services are not on the information sheet. Only the Concierge was given and when we dialed the number no one answered. We had to carry our own luggage to the reception area which was quite a long distance. - The videos on social media by guests did not reflect the reality we witnessed. We stayed a week and they never had BBQ in the main restaurant, shrimps were given only once. Apart from that, the food variety and quality was good. - The waiters are doing their best but some organisation must be done to increase their efficiency. Either you are asked what to drink 3-4 times or you cannot get anything to drink until you finish your meal. - Communication can be an issue also, I asked for Turkish Coffee and was served Iced-Coffee. - The pools are well designed and huge, so they are very popular. If you want to use them, the sunbeds are almost always reserved with towels. We wanted to go there once because the jetty was closed due to high winds, there was none available. While looking around, a family came, talked to one of the lifeguards and suddenly towels were removed and the lifeguard received a 10 usd bill for the service. The above is meant as a feedback to the management to improve the service quality to the level that the hotel deserves.
