PROS: 1. Can walk directly to the beach from your room. We were across the road, so it was about a 6-7 minute walk to the beach. There was a super pleasant young man named Mohammed who stopped traffic for you each time you had to cross the road. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face. 2. Food at the beachside restaurant was delicious! Salad super fresh, better than my mom’s pot roast, boiled fish, eggs to,order, pastries and excellent service. It was very quiet while we were there, so we never had hardly any queues when getting food. I think the all you can eat option is the best since some of the non-hotel restaurants down the walk way were not that good. 3. Super friendly staff - Ahmed at the front desk, Muhammed at the cross walk, Fahid and Taha in the restaurant, all the security guards, servers, chefs and cooks in the restaurant, and the driver to and from the airport were super friendly. They really tried to make our visit memorable. 4. Beachfront - you have to bring a snorkel and experience the hundreds maybe thousands of colorful fish right off the beach. You essentially float in the water looking down and they are right there in the coral. Our first experience and it was amazing! There are umbrellas, beach towels, and lounge chairs. Once again it was NOT busy so we had no issue getting a seat. Not sure what it looks like at peak times. CONS: 1. Did not like the high pressure sales guy walking up and down the beach trying to sell me stuff. He would not take no for an answer. 2. WIFI common area only - none in your room unless you are willing to pay more. We did not buy it so I cannot comment on its effectiveness. After reading the website over again, I did see that they do mention this, but only after you click a link that discusses the wifi in general. Kind of sneaky. 3. Don’t flush the toilet paper - ALL TOILET PAPER. not sure if this is resort wide or just in our section we were staying. I cannot find notice of this anywhere on the hotel website. I mean I get it if it’s old plumbing, but to surprise people with this once they get there? Kind of gross and shady. They will clean your room every day, but if you have a medical condition this might be an issue for you. TIPS - ALOT of tipping money in smaller denominations like 10, 20 and 50 EGY. Getting smaller bills on arrival is tough at best. 50 Egyptian Pounds= $2.75 US. These workers do not make a high wage and any little bit helps. Frustrating when you want to tip and can’t

The Hotel is Very Clean - Swimming Pools are more than perfect and the Staff is very helpful and Professional and Friendly Room was really amazing and the atmosphere was more than perfect We really enjoyed the trip - The ONLY Problem the Mattress is NOT up to the Standard and causes pain the back IF going to Sharm el Sheikh I am highly recommending Novotel Sharm El Sheikh

I was in Novotel Palm in 2012 the last time. I had got very warm memories about it that is why it was chosen again in 2021.. Now it is not more a 5* hotel, it is 3*+ maximum. The problem with the management of the hotel must be definitely solved. It is very hard to see the dying of a former very good hotel. The beach is dirty, the staff do not clean it at all. Sunbeds are very ancient, mattresses are dirty and also very old. The beach is very crowded. The neighboring beaches are much better (Fayrous beach, for example, very spacious, with new sunbeds). The guardians often ask a room number, a reason and purpose are not clear at all. Showers on the beach and near the swimming pool have a very cold water, it is not comfortable in December at all. Only one of tree swimming pools is heated(the one in the Novotel beach wing), there is no warm swimming pool in the Palm wing (the small one in the upper part of the hotel was always heated when we came last times in november-december). The restaurant also needs to be improved. The food is no more tasty as it was before. The wine is diluted with the water for 50% and is offered at the price of about usd 8 for a glass. I have never had such a wine at such price in my life, very funny experience:) There are other points to be mentioned, but I am already really tired, I think it is enough to see the situation. It is not only my opinion about the today hotel level, I talked to other guests and they were also completely disappointed. The only positive moments of the stay are the guys at the reception, very kind and helpful, a very pleasant and also very kind driver of a golf car. And of course, the sea, corals and fishes, they are still perfect and nobody managed to spoil them.

Very bad attitude from all the team : - Man in the BAr is complaining about his vacation and never smile. - Man on the swimming pool never reply to even good morning and when we ask him why he said I am sick not feeling good as a threat from covid to leave him alone - lady standing @the kids area is smoking in the kids area . - Reception team I ask them for a matches he said I will ask the room service and he did not answer back . - food is reused between lunch and dinner Me as a member of Marriot, IHg platinum and Ambassador was trying to get more for Accor . But this hotel disappoint me

It's no more a five stars hotel... it's a basic Russian Holliday place...

Over the years, the quality has steadily declined and the hotel seems more interested in targeting quantity than quality... The rooms deserve a renovation and still do not have Wifi, it is only available in the lobby with a very weak network, interrupted every minute. The sport room only bears its name: the equipment is out of order or obsolete and is no longer even cleaned ... The beach, already crowded, will be equipped with an additional deckchair ...In addition, entertainment equipment has been added to the beach, with more and more frequent music, often at a high decibel level. It is absolutely necessary to keep an absolutely nuisance-free beach area. In addition, we did not manage to get a program of it, and the animation staff hardly ever addressed us other than in Russian !!! Their level in English was also largely lacking ... To put a positive note, I note that at the staff level, the "elders" are always adorable (Sheema at breakfast, the beach staff, the caretaker side walk ... will that be enough to make us want to come back? Nothing less certain ...

The front desk manager was so helpful , the HK and the bell man was so friendly. One of the beach bar was so tough in his treatment but his colleague save the situation by his quick decision. The room needed to have more plug . The room service food is good .

My best stay in Sharm ever

Aside from the hotel furniture is bit old and need to be changed, everything else and specially the staff were perfect. I’d like to thank Islam from the pool bar and the night security (can’t remember his name) for their help in anything we needed.

Poor service and food

We know the area and I thought the property well. When we arrived they had use not at the main property but across the road in the back . The room had no water pressure and the toilet did not flush. It was no where near the gym so we had issues from the start. When we left to go to the dive center the secuirty at the boardwalk gave us major issues with us taking our bag from the hotel. We did speak to the management about the issue of the room, its location and security guard. The management did move use close to the gym which was helpful and apricated. I must say the service in the at breakfast was poor at best and the quality was unacceptable With the acceptation of one or two staff members, the others need training and support. Most did not wear their mask during COVID and when I took pictures they knew there was issues. The restaurant was schedule to open at 6.30 but in five days nothing was ever on time or ready. Not sure I would return to the hotel, not because of the location but more of an issue of poor service. I will not even talk about the bar at the hotel on the other side of the road, but in short when we arrive our room was not ready and two men were working the bar and playing on their phones. It took several minutes to get their attention just to order. Clear not a good start to a week stay. If the service and the quality of the food improved we might reconsider but im sure this is to much to ask.

Reservation online was easy , though other sites offered more options and sometimes more detailed descriptions. Gate keeper refused to get the taxi inside. Check in was hectic. No special reception for Accor members. Even the receptionist was not aware what were the privileges of Accor or Accor gold. Another senior receptionist denied the possibility of the upgrade of the room; he said the hotel was fully booked, while I tried on my own to try to book extra 7 rooms from both categories; Pool or Garden, they were available. He was simple lying and trying to dispose the guests. Room was simple and needed a lot of attention. Tt seems they are only employing crisis management not applying regular checks for all amenities. The most important was non functioning air conditioner which was disastrous with an outside temperature of 41 centrigrade.. The technician came, opened something from the ceiling, got a very dirty filter, clogged with ice, went cleaned it, air conditioner worked nicely but with very bad gasoline smell!!. Fridge was very old style, with poor cooling and very thick ice around freezer, The technician said nothing can be done, yt would take long time to defrost and clear the ice and would need the house keeping to mop the flooding water that would trickle down. He could not replace. TV channels were limited and a lot of repetition. The only English channel was BBC world but it was tuned without sound. We called for repair; but it stayed mute till last day. You have to master the Russian language to watch the remaining channels. Being garden ground floor, it was expected to have some insects every now and then. Breakfast was very good with a lot of varieties for every taste. Not crowded. Frequent replenish. Fresh juice costs extra 30 Egyptian pounds. Only one pool on the beach wing; was always crowded. No life guard. Needs more attention for cleanliness . Water clarity is not the best, with a lot of floaters in the water when you use snorkels. Many human debris including hairs either in the floor or clearly suspended in water. Sometimes you feel the floor greasy . Definitely, the pool needs a lot of attention. Beach is beautiful, sandy, a lot of spaces for everybody. There's even coral reefs which offers fantastic views and observation. Along with sandy parts suitable for swimming. House keeping is doing a good job , with daily cleaning. He sometimes get short of clean towels, but comes back in an hour or two with the missing items

Good 3 nights stay

Good location, smooth check in (quick early check in, welcome drink and room upgrade were all done perfectly and professionally), clean rooms, various facilities and good beach atmosphere (Although Eslam the beach waiter was alone but he really did great job and was so active and friendly) Spa was very good. Food and beverage was below average as staff were not friendly and beach snacks were awful. Dial up Communication from inside the hotel (from the room) or from outside the hotel (Landline and operator) is a mess. Reservation staff needs more info about All Accor benefits and standards.

Like always we had a terrific time in Novotel Beach in Sharm, there are only two points they have to look for the beds, have to be renewed (housekeepingmanager has to look for it and controle it) and the animation team has to learn english better...thanks for all the people who made this vacation again a terrific time

Decent stay but hotel looks old and worn

It was one of the better hotels in the area. However, I expected alot more for a 5 star hotel. While the hotel provides good service, it is let down by the old furnishings in the rooms which really need an upgrade and replacement.

The service in hotel restaurant very very slow and the room service very slow too cause when i just ordered ice or even towel you need to call them many times to get your order and really make my sad 👎🏻

i love this hotel, every thing is exactly what we needed, best Novotel staff ever i will defiantly coming back, and the restaurants are very spot-on, the pool was very nice with all the shows, the dance group was very nice

All rooms are larger than theusual standard, very quiet, friendly and efficient service, just cross the road and you are on the beach. Two swimming pools and a jacuzzi for those who prefer fresh water !

As I come every year to this place, I was, this time, completely disappointed.... The beach was completely crowed by Ukrainien at 10.30, and it was not far to be impossible to find a place at the beach. I was really shocked by seeing them walking on the coral reef (I saw this many times every day..).. But this is not the end. I had the same impression as to be in a bad 3 stars camping place: excepted the night with the traditional dances, the animation was so vulgar and with sexuel connotation that I couldn't believe it (for exemple, one night there were at least 20 half naked men on the stage, an other night, some couples were playing at a seduction game on the stage...) Everything is now in ukrainien : the quizz, the karaoke uso... At the beackfast, they take as much as the can : bread, pastry, etc. but when they leave, you can find all the rubbish on the floor or the table and then, every day, the crows are turning around at the restaurant and the beach to find the food...An other problem is the WIFI... You can have 3 connections with the Hilton Fayrouz but not with the Novotel... In 2018 it's inacceptable : in a 5 stars place you should have good connection in all the rooms, at the bar and at the restaurant... I have also to complain about the private loud-speakers...Now, to finish with some good remarks : A special thank's to the people working at the beach, they have always do their best to help to find a seat, thank's also to the security gard near the beach, and also to Roma who has always tried to find a solution at my complains....but if they are no change, I will never come again...
