Wow this was a very different hotel. Billed as "hip", it is very eclectic. Stools instead of chairs, an ironing board instead of a table. Free mini bar was nice... As was the book of local places to eat. This kind of hotel isn't for everyone but I'm glad I tried it. I tried the free sauna and it was very relaxing.

Amazing and well located hotel.

What an amazing hotel. Located next to the main train station it is definitely easy to reach. It is only a 20 minute walk to the main shopping street and the Viktualienmarkt. A bit a challenge is finding the entrance as it is more a less just a small door. But insight absolutely amazing. Staff is friendly (especially the breakfast team - thank you guys. You made my day). For the rooms just have a look at the pictures. Something special I would say. I missed the desk as working in the room was a bit challenging but well. Could have been worth.

Horrible and Harrowing Stay

My aunt and I stayed at the 25 Hours Hotel the Royal Bavarian from 7th to 10th March 2024 Our experience in all honesty was horrible, unacceptable and downright a nightmare. The first time I took a shower in my bathroom, the entire bathroom and bedroom was filled with water which had entered from the shower. It cover the entire floor, my shoes were completely wet, my charging cables were spoilt. I had to rush for a meeting this morning and not only was I delayed, I was unable to use the bathroom again as would get all my clothes and shoes wet. The next day my room was not cleaned after I explicitly put the cleaning sign right outside the room. My room was untouched. Finally and I write with disgust and fear, my aunt (an elderly single lady who was in a different room) had a harrowing experience on her last night. She received a call on the hotel telephone landline at 5 am in the morning and was told by the person on the call that they are going to come to her room and physically and sexually harm and assault her. This was a frightening and scary moment. Despite our complaints the hotel could not find its source and could not the trace the room number as the guests conversation indicated he was also staying in the hotel. She felt unsafe in the privacy of her own hotel room and could not sleep the entire morning. This was a scarring and disturbing experience. She received this call the night before as well - waking her up at 5 am but this time the man just asked if she received a wake up call. When we informed the hotel about this, they said there’s not much they can do and are unable to trace the call. It was also very disturbing to hear that the hotel staff were aware of this as they informed us as that other guests had complained about the same problem. We would expect a hotel to deal with such a grave problem and at the very least have the courtesy to inform the guests that such a thing is happening around the hotel. My aunt truly suffered with her experience and was in a state of shock and terror. The first 2 points I mentioned were unacceptable as it is especially considering the steep price of the room - about 650 EUROs for 3 nights per room. But this experience with the call was the nail in the coffin for us, we will never visit a 25 hours property again. Our overall experience was unprofessional, scary and UNACCEPTABLE. Lastly the rooms themselves were small, despite paying for the large room. The hotel and interiors were run down and poor. The rooms were also so dark that it made seeing the contents of my suitcase and the rest of the room difficult.

This is absolutely not the experience we want our guests to have, and we sincerely regret the inconveniences and concerns you faced. First and foremost, we are sorry about the issue with the shower. Had we been informed at the time, we would have immediately sent our team to assist in cleaning up the flooding and preventing further damage to your belongings. We completely understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been, especially when you were in a hurry to leave for your meeting. In addition, we would have inspected the shower right away to address the problem or, if necessary, offered you a different room to ensure your comfort for the rest of your stay. We regret that we were not given the opportunity to resolve this issue for you at the time. Regarding your room not being cleaned despite the "Please Clean" sign being placed outside, we sincerely apologize for this oversight. This does not reflect our usual standards of housekeeping, and we understand how disappointing it must have been to return to an uncleaned room. We have already addressed this with our housekeeping team to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we regret that we fell short in this regard. The situation with the anonymous phone calls is something we take extremely seriously, and we deeply regret the distress this caused your aunt. As we have also mentioned in our email, our telephone system was unfortunately hacked. The moment we became aware of the issue, we immediately contacted our telecommunications provider and took swift action to resolve the problem. However, because these calls were made by an external party and not from within the hotel, we were unable to trace them at the time. We completely understand how terrifying this experience must have been for your aunt, and we sincerely regret that she felt unsafe in her room. Since this incident, we have taken additional security measures to ensure that our phone system is better protected. Fortunately, after implementing these safeguards, no further incidents of this nature have occurred. While we understand that this does not undo the distress your aunt experienced, we want to assure you that we have done everything in our power to prevent this from happening again in the future. We would also like to clarify that, regardless of what was said in the call, no one can access a guest's room except the guest themselves. Our key cards are uniquely programmed and only allow access to public areas and the specific floor of the guest’s room. Safety and privacy are of the utmost importance to us, and we hope this provides some reassurance regarding security within the hotel. However, we completely understand that the calls themselves were extremely unsettling, and we sincerely apologize again for the distress they caused. In terms of the room design and lighting, we always strive to provide accurate descriptions and photos on all booking platforms. We understand that preferences vary, and if additional lighting is needed, we are always happy to provide it upon request. Your feedback regarding the room size and interior design is valuable to us, and we will certainly take it into consideration for future improvements. Once again, we deeply regret that your experience with us was not as it should have been. The hotel itself is charming with nice design, but lacking in facilities you would expect in a hotel of this price range/stars. Lack of room service, coffee stations in the rooms, table for working at, or functional lighting would make me hesitate to stay here again if traveling for business.

For example, starting from our XL category, a tea and coffee station is standard in the room. In all smaller categories, we’re happy to provide a kettle and accessories upon request. Likewise, from our Large category onwards, all rooms include a dedicated desk for working. If additional lighting is ever needed, we are more than happy to provide extra lamps to ensure a comfortable atmosphere. Great value for a great location

The staff were v friendly and helpful. Being a member of the ALL group meant we got a v reasonable price, a quiet room located on the top/4th floor and a welcome drink. The location near the central station, above a supermarket and the Old Town within walking distance was great.
