Good hotel. Great food. Good location. Efficient staff. Room electrics were the only downside of the stay. Less is more! Designers please hear this. Lighting sensors are so annoying. They should not go off and on each time you move during night. Room was also too dark in wardrobe area. Mini bar hot water system very noisy during the night. It’s very difficult to relax with so many electrical components in a bedroom

When I pay nearly $400 USD per night, I don't expect to have to dry my hair in the bedroom area with no mirror. I also don't expect to have air conditioning that apparently can't be controlled or rude and insensitive neighbors who start socializing loudly at 1am two nights in a row. Yet, that is what we got. We spent 3 nights in a Deluxe Harbor View King in the South Tower. I don't think they had a woman on the design team for their bathrooms because lack of proper outlets and dim makeup mirrors as well as an open shower/tub combination would bot have been a woman's preference. The outlet provided next to the sink was for razors only, and I could barely use my curling iron in there. The USB ports were large A size and difficult to use with newer C type USB plugs. The air conditioning just couldn't be set to a different temperature. We just turned it off at night. When it read 23 degrees Celsius was in reality 16.5 degrees. Honestly we weren't in the room much and I didn't want to disrupt our stay with moving to a different room or calling the front desk at 1am to complain about our neighbors and awaken my husband who managed to sleep through the noise. I am so disappointed in our experience here. The only positives were the location of the property, comfortable bed, large room with a great view, and service from staff. But I doubt we will return.

The booking is for a Deluxe King using the Stay Plus benefit under Accor Plus. Fairmont Singapore is part of Raffles City, a complex that consists of two hotels (Fairmont and Swissotel), a convention centre, a shopping centre and an office tower. If arriving by City Hall MRT: get to Raffles City Shopping Center first and follow the signs to "hotels" as the 2 hotels are side by side. This is easier than walking outside the mega complex and trying to find the hotel main entrance. Key card access is available from level 2 upwards of the shopping mall. For reference, Fairmont is just across the street from Raffles Hotel. Arrived slightly before 1 pm (have called the day before to enquire about early check in). As booked under Accor Plus, headed straight to the Accor counter. Staff was friendly and check in was quickly completed. It was later that I realised Accor status was not acknowledged, the welcome letter was the generic one and welcome drink was not given. This was promptly rectified after a call to their guest service "Royal Services". # First Room at South Tower Level 15 Upon entering, I checked the locks and noticed the chain lock was not working. Black light test didn't turn up anything out of the ordinary. Checks on all layers (down to the mattress) of the bed found 1 hair within a pillow case and 3 hairs on mattress protector. Didn’t check the rest of the room, as room change was confirmed by then due to the lock issue. Service recovery by the Duty Manager Ann Teo was swift and appropriate. # Second Room at South Tower Level 19 Cleanliness of bed and room was good, except for behind the couch where some small debris, a small plastic wrapper and a ear ring were seen. The room was very nicely appointed, it has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed is super comfy! The 4 pillows had different levels of firmness. There are switches on both sides of the bed to control the lights and also the curtains. The bed faces the windows. The TV is positioned at the side of the room and can be swivelled out and angled to face the bed or the couch. The fridge is packed full of chargeable drinks with only a small space (enough for 2 330 ml bottles) left for your own use. No plastic water bottles provided. Instead there is a SwissPro filtered water dispenser providing both hot and cold water. The provided instructions for dispensing hot water is perplexing. I figured it out after a few tries that you need to first press the 'Safety Key', followed by the 'Hot' key to dispense hot water. The ensuite bathroom is large and luxe! It comes with both a standing shower and a huge bahtub. Water pressure is super strong from both hand shower and rain shower. Shower floor area is not sunken enough to prevent water from flowing out during showering. The few issues were super minute compared to all that Fairmont has to offer. Top of their class! Really fantastic stay! Fairmont didn't just deliver, it hit the ball out of the park! Besides the well thought out "hardware" aspects, the staff will do their utmost to serve the guests. They do hospitality beyond lip service.

Our cruise line booked this hotel for us as we got off the ship after two weeks. Very good hotel and great location to see the sights of Singapore. Mall and MRT station are attached. We have stayed in Fairmont’s in Toronto and other cities and this certainly is all you would expect. Breakfast was included and it was just ok. Almost impossible to get a hot cup of coffee. The other thing that was off, we were going out for dinner and asked front desk for ice and other items when we returned two hours later nothing had to call then showed right up
