20年ほど前に一度ラッフルズホテルへ立ち寄ったことがあったが、宿泊はしなかったため奥まで入ることはできませんでした。いつか宿泊してみたいと思いつつ今回ようやく、結婚40周年記念という形で実現することが出来ました。お金持ちではないのでかなり贅沢な旅でしたが、金額以上に満足できました。ただ、言葉の壁は大きく、言っていることもわからず、何をどう伝えていいのかもわからず、焦りました。日本語が堪能な方がいると助かったと思いました。

以前は、オーバーブッキングで宿に着いてから言われてがっかりしたことがありました。 今度は、本当に宿泊できるのか、ずっとドキドキでしたが、実際に泊まれてよかったです。 お部屋はとても広く感激しました。 朝食も種類があってとても美味しかったです。 アフタヌーンティーも美味でしたが、格式があるところは、お値段これくらいするのだと思いました。
