Wi-Fi connection was bad

I arrived to hotel, got a room key, entered a room where heating radiators leaked. The carpet was wet and smelled of damp. Nobody checked a room before giving it to me! Is this how you treat platinum members? Wi-Fi was a disaster. I visited Istanbul for 12 hrs only and booked this hotel to attend some online meetings. Due to low Internet speed (<1 mbit/s) I had to go shopping and buy local sim cards at 9am! 2 shops did not manage to register a new sim card due to issues with the registration website. So I had to use my foreign sim card data in Roaming during several hrs of video meetings. Internet speed from my sim card was 40 Mbit/s (in the same room where Wi-Fi was 1 Mbit/s). The check in receptionist did not allow me to pay the room next day (I wanted to exchange foreign currency next day and pay in cash).

The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to a major Metro Station (10 minutes walk). First part of my visit was a business with the last part being for holidays. The service by the staff was consistent and helpful when required. This was particularly evident when it was necessary to move rooms which was done without hesitation by the front service staff. I would recommend the hotel to those who wish to be within the city precincts with easy access to the old city via the Metro. The rooms were above average and were cleaned daily with replacement towels and amenities provided, as required. The only hesitation I would put forward is the size of the elevators (being 2 in total and accommodating 5 to 6 persons maximum, being less if patrons had bags) and the difficulty in accessing them during peak periods. However, this was a small inconvenience. As I indicated above, I would recommend this hotel for the reasons stated.

There was no complimentary water and tea bags available for the nights I stayed. Once I complained the night shift manager was there by accident and offered me a fruit basket to apologize and made me forget about the negative effect of it. When the first morning I went to breakfast, the manager in charge said I had to pay for it as I booked without breakfast which was not true. Good that I had booking mail ready with me. Although he said it in a very nice way I was a kind of disturbed and disappointed. Then again once he saw the booking mail he was very nice to me to win my heart which he did.

The only good thing was location

There was a smell in the room. Check in and check out times were extra slow. Bathroom was average clean. Autopark was expensive and my car was driven by 16 y.o staff. Not a good experience at all. Not suggestible

We stayed with my husband at the room for 2 and booked it in advance. However when checking in the towels and all the amenities were only for 1 person. Housekeeping was not good. We stayed at the hotel for 3 days. One day they forgot to clean up garbage, the next day forgot to refresh the water. During our stay we had an issue, and asked 3 different persons from the Front desk for the help, and all of them gave us totally different answers. When trying to solve an issue at the checking out, the same happened. Also we had issue with pre-authorized amount. The amount was blocked for more than 2 weeks. A week after the check-out I wrote an email to the hotel explaining the situation and asking for clarification. Despite more than 3 weeks has passed, there is still no reply. Good that we kept all the receipts and tried to solve the issue through the bank. Overall not recommended.

MOST horrifying stay and terrible place

This place is very bad. The room they put us in is had mold everywhere. The bathroom smelt so bad i cant even begin describe it. The radiator had a wooden cover and it was broken all the dust and spiders behind it was visible it was an absalute nightmare. I cant imagine how this place is a mercure hotel. Ive never stayed in a place this bad and ot did effect our holiday majorly considering we meeded to stay in that room. We went out to the hospital and came back to find our room door left wide open. All our items were in that room. I was so angry with this i called the reception. They sent their security guard TIMUR upstairs within 5 minutes and he was so rude. Clearly no customer service training has been provided to these people.He said his checked the cameras in 5 minutes which is bu’’sh’’.We did not feel safe at all.....He was so rude, he said im here to help you by raising his voice. You can imagine how upset we was finding out the maid left our room door open a room that has all our belongings in. Their excuse was the doors play up sometimes because theyre really old. Like seriously? I requested for our room to be changed and they mever cared enough to change our room or anything. I have asthma, i cant be mear mold and for that reason i couldnt even shower in that room. This was so upsetting. We went to a local spa everyday and took showers there. They are cheap for a reason and i seriously would not recommend this place. Im suprised they passed the inspection to become a Mercure Hotel franchise. They need to be inspected and honestly be povided a proper security So they know and understand that the service they provide includes making their guests feel safe.I asked for no one to enter our room. Not even the maids. The very next day we came back, suprise surprise someone had entered again.This place is NO mercure hotel. Its a fake establishment that just brought the name. Its a horrible place.

Could be a great hotel, but service not at 5 star level, not customer oriented, too many small failures

Pity, this nicely decorated hotel could be a great place to stay, but there are too many small failures and some of the personnel is absolutely not service minded. Not 5 stars, for service a 3 star level

Good Hotel with a brilliant Customer Service. Guest Relation Officer( Ms Satiya) was very Helpful. Hotel has a minor Electric issue but was solved immediately. Great Housekeeping Service. Value for money

Not cleaning at all .Black baktria in the shower.Old towels.Very bad bed and not cleaning at all.Staff hasn't any knowledge about hospitality and not suitable for work any any hotel even 1 star.Not advise at all.

What is offered against proposed is totally different. Room with view of the city is a lie. Cleaning is minimum, fridge did not work.....and the price is terrible. i will never go back there.This hotel is a chaos, totally dezorganized.

Check in and Check out very poor, either staff don't understand their own system or it does not work at all, a guest before me on check in and check out had the same issues, Not a language barrier.Apparrently was upgraded from a standard room I would hate to see a standard room if that's the case, wall paper peelng, lights not working, a wardrobe door half haning off that I had to fix myself.I pulled back the sheets and found hairs, and the sheets themselves had a number of obvious repairs. the bathroom floor was sticky, the shower soap dish not fitted properly, the aux shower head fixing to wall falling off, and the drain blocked so that after a minute the tray starts to fill up.The lighting in the room and switches to use them are useless/Am quite used to city centre hotels but when you can feel the vibration of a bus going by 40ft below that's disturbing at 5 in the morning.I was there for two nights when I returned at 20:00 hrs expecting that the room would have been cleaned etc, I found two bottles of water, that's it, bin not emptied beds not turned down, bathroom not cleaned which is what I would expect.I expect to be going to Istanbul two to three times a year but will not be using this Hotel or the chain
