Hotel ist sehr schön, aber für mich persönlich war ein großer Nachteil, dass die Zimmer nicht über eine Treppe zu erreichen sind.

Da wir zu Beginn unseres Thailandaufenthaltes ein Hotel am Chao Praya gewählt hatten, fiel unsere Wahl am Ende unserer Reise als Silver Mitglied bei All Accor diesmal auf das Mercure Sukhumvit 11 in der Nähe der Sukhumvit. Dies auch deshalb, da sich das Hotel in guter Nähe zur BTS und zur Sukhumvit befindet. Da wir leider durch einen in Südthailand erlittenen Beinbruch in der Mobilität stark eingescrhänkt waren, erkundigten wir uns schon im Vorfeld beim Hotel, ob es möglich wäre uns einen Rollstuhl zur Verfügung zu stellen. Die Antwort lies nicht lange auf sich warten und uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass wir einen hoteleigenen Rollstuhl bekommen würden. Allerdings nur für den Hotelbereich. Wir sind am Abend vom Suvarnabhumi Airport mit einem Publik Taxi für ca. 400 Bt im Hotel angekommen und wurden sofort beim Eingang mit dem Rollstuhl empfangen. Wir konnten mit einem Upgrade sofort einchecken und uns wurde das Deluxe Zimmer 803 (Raucherzimmer) zugewiesen. Am Zimmer lag eine nette Begrüßungskarte und ein Überraschungsgeschenk in Form von gesalzenen Nüssen. Das Hotel befindet sich in der Soi 11 in der Nähe der Sukhumvit. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind unzählige Restaurants, 7 eleven, Geldautomaten und Wechselstuben, Bars uns Shops aller Art. Die Lage und Umgebung des Hotels ist hervorragend. Wir hatten ein upgrade auf das Deluxe Zimmer 43 m²mit Lounge-Zugang 803. Da es sich um ein upgrade handelte, konnten wir den Lounge-Zugang leider nicht nutzen. Im Zimmer ist Rauchen erlaubt. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend groß, hat Bad und WC und die üblichen Badeutensilien. Im Schlafbereich steht ein großes King Size Bett. Im Zimmerpreis ist kein Frühstück inkludiert. Blick auf die Stadt. Das Hotel hat kein eigenes Restaurant. Links vom Hoteleingang ist das EL Goucho Argentinian Steakhouse und auf der rechten Seite das Lily Fu´s Thai Restaurant, wo unter anderem ein Frühstücksbuffet für etwas weniger als 10 Euro pro Person angeboten wird. Das Buffet ist umfangreich und hervorragend. Man kann das Essen im klimatisierten Raum oder auf der Terrasse einnehmen. Beim Pool ist eine Poolbar, wo Getränke (eine große Bierauswahl) und Snacks angeboten werden. Das WLAN funktioniert in der gesamten Hotelanlage ausgezeichnet. Es wird von allen Bediensteten ausgezeichnetes Englisch gesprochen. Das Personal ist außerordentlich freundlich und erkundigt sich immer wieder nach den Befindlichkeiten der Gäste. Am Pool sind ausreichend Liegen vorhanden. Es gibt Nichtraucher und Raucherbereiche. Ab mittags scheint die Sonne über die komplette Poolanlage.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und die Angestellten sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wirklich top. Die Welcome-Drinks in Form eines Süssgetränks aus der Dose oder eines Fruchtsaftes aus der Kartonpackung ohne Glas ist eines Accor-Hotels nicht würdig. Lieber nichts als so etwas!
