Insgesamt waren wir zuvor schon in 5 Sofitels und leider war dies das schwächste Hotel der Kette. Das Zimmer war insgesamt sauber, aber ein großer roter Fleck (wahrscheinlich ein Blutfleck) an der Wand. Zudem gab es trotz Verfügbarkeit "nur" ein Upgrade auf 2 Kategorien höher, wobei wir bei Sofitel meistens eine Suite bekamen. Die Club Lounge war ok, aber nicht außergewöhnlich, insbesondere das Angebot der Speisen hat uns nicht sehr beeindruckt. Hier wären Früchte oder ein Salatangebot gut gewesen. Französische Patisserie wäre hier auch wünschenswert gewesen. Die Lage vom Hotel war aufgrund der Lautstärke nicht so optimal, da auch nachts noch Musik von Außen zu hören war. Die Hilfsbedürfdigkeit vom Personal an der Tür könnte auch verbessert werden. In anderen Hotels in Bangkok wurde das Gepäck schon abgenommen als man in Richtung Tür gelaufen ist. Das Frühstück hat uns auch nicht so überzeugt. Hier wäre eine größere Auswahl, insbesondere an französischer Patisserie und a la carte Speisen wünschenswert gewesen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis fand ich insgesamt für das Hotel eher schlecht im direkten Vergleich mit dem Banyan Tree Bangkok. Das italienische Restaurant Bella Sera war beim Abendessen sehr gut und die Gerichte waren richtig lecker und sehr gut nach der italienischen Art zubereitet. Insbesondere die Pizza war eine der besten Pizzen, die ich in Asien bisher gegessen habe. Die Rooftop Bar war auch ganz gut gemacht.

Nachdem wir mal Alternativen in Bangkok getestet haben, sind wir immer zum Ergebnis gekommen, dass es doch der schönste Ort ist, um zu relaxen und es sich gut gehen zu lassen.
