Charming but Overpriced Hotel Near Karon & Kata Beaches

This small, beautiful hotel is ideally located between Karon Beach and Kata Beach, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation. The area is tranquil, providing a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of Phuket. While the hotel has a lovely aesthetic, it felt slightly overpriced for what it offers. The check-in process was smooth, though I was disappointed by the staff’s attitude at check-out, as they seemed a bit grumpy and uninterested. The room itself was fine, with a basic mountain view. However, the backyard area was quite lackluster—just an empty grass space, which didn’t add much to the overall experience. The breakfast was decent, though the variety of options was limited. One of the highlights of my stay was the pool bar. The bartender and staff there were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made for a great time by the pool. The small pool area is visually appealing and very Instagram-worthy, even if the size is on the more compact side. Overall, while the hotel has a lot of charm and a great location, I felt it didn’t fully justify the price. However, if you're looking for a quiet, stylish spot near the beaches, this could be a good choice.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The reception and check-in process were smooth and welcoming, with the front desk staff being incredibly helpful in finding the perfect room for me. The property itself is well-maintained, offering a peaceful atmosphere just a short walk from restaurants, bars and shops. The beach is only a few steps away, making it incredibly convenient. The breakfast was rich and varied, and I especially enjoyed rooftop bar and its great view. The international buffet at the restaurant was super, everything was well prepared and tasted authentic (thinking especially of the Indian chicken tikka or the Singapore soup). There's also a great pool bar for drinks. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for a relaxing getaway!

Excellent housekeeping service , very comfortable room and all the amenities.thank you for Nickky and Eiad. Highly recommended for family vacation .hotel is wonderful with very nice staff.we had a wonderful time and experience. Hotel has excellent location and easy access to everywhere

Apart from this hotel being absolutely stunning and so relaxing; the staff here are amazing. I wish I could remember every single name but seriously, everyone we came in to contact with was nothing short of incredible. Cleaning staff, maintenance staff, security, the concierges, everyone is so happy and eager to help and talk to you and it really makes such a big impact. Tuk who was working at the pool side on our last day was so kind and lovely and complimentary and brought us everything so quickly and we had a great chat; when she saw us leaving she practically ran to say goodbye and give me and my son a cuddle, which made us feel so special! Biw was cleaning our rooms and was so patient and gracious even though we’re dreadfully messy and smashed two things I can’t thank her enough, she came by to drop off a lovely little turtle toy for my son which he loves. Tomasz and the other staff at Char’d made our experience so nice, even though we had stupidly not booked a table on the fire dancing night; our waitress was so lovely and attentive and the food was fantastic. There was a lovely young woman who dropped off our floating breakfasts and I was half asleep and a bit docile so I thought we had ordered more than we had and she apologised so much and spoke to management for me and it was all my mistake I’m so so sorry! Everyone I spoke to at the Front Desk was so helpful and polite and cheerful, no matter what time of day or night it was and they took care of every single one of our requests. They even upgraded us to pool access on arrival which absolutely made our stay. Our very late check out was so smooth and easy and Milk and the young man (I didn’t catch a name) who handled it were so funny and lovely. The concierge were so helpful with us leaving and so thoughtful about whether wed left anything and about asking for us to come back. All of us are sad to be leaving :( ขอบคุณมาก ๆ เลยค่ะ

A fantastic friendly hotel

This was our first ever visit to the Island of Phuket and we definitely made the right choice with the Avista Grande Karon. We booked a suite with a hot tub and Mountain View and it was lovely. All the staff were absolutely wonderful, check in was superb, the breakfast buffet was excellent and we dined at both Portosino and Chard restaurants ( in hotel) during our 14 night stay and the food quality was exceptional. A special thank you to Kee our brilliant housekeeping lady who cleaned our room to a very high standard every day and delivered a lovely chocolate treat every evening . My only criticism relates to the very loud music blasting out of loud speakers by the pool, when you were trying to read and relax by the pool it wasn’t very pleasant, so this drove us to the beach most days. It is a shame as the lovely staff at the pool bar do a great job and we would have spent more time and money by the pool. I know we are all in our 60s! but quieter more ambient music would suit the hotel demographic better. We really enjoyed the roof top bar in the evening and a thank you to the staff who looked after us the Chelsea fan! and his colleague. The location of the hotel is great, Karon beach is opposite, Kata and stunning Kata Noi beach a short cheap Tuc Tuc ride away and we also had trips to the Elephant Sanctuary and Phuket. Thanks to our lovely Tui Rep, Nokki, who arranged a fantastic trip to the Simon Cabaret for us. Finally thanks to all the wonderful management and staff for making our stay so memorable
