Terrible Service from the "Guest Experience Manager"

As a Gold Accor member staying for 10 days I had the worst check in experience of my life from Sara the Customer Experience Manager. She was rude, extremely unhelpful and had an uncaring attitude. She made me pay for the full stay upfront instead of at check out, but wouldn't explain why. When checking in, she told me Wifi was complimentary, however was charging me for 10 days (even though it was free with my booking!) She made no effort to acknowledge me or make me feel comfortable at check in. She didn't mention or acknowledge that I was an Accor member so I didn't receive any of the benefits I was entitled too upon my whole stay there, including room upgrade, complimentary drink & Wifi I stayed in this hotel the week prior and had a great experience without any issues, however I also didn't encounter Sara. I have stayed in many hotels for work and never had such an awful experience. She made me feel like a worthless number and not a valued guest. Due to this experience, I won't be suggesting or returning again. On a positive note, I'd like to call out the great service I received from Mary Anne & Angel who I went to for help during my stay after dealing with Sara. Both girls were lovely, very friendly and sorted out the rest of the stay for me, otherwise I would have certainly left earlier... even with the upfront payment!

What a lovely experience, great location, easy access for booking in , underground parking. Friendly and courteous staff, very comfortable cosy bed, well appointed room with a lovely view of the parklands. Enjoyed a beautiful buffet breakfast , lovely to have that experience again , relaxing in the surroundings. Located within walking distance of South Bank and it’s diverse offerings . Express checkout. Unfortunately, could stay one night due to our schedule , our first time, memorable and will return ~ recommend 👍

Great location, excellent service, clean and well appointed rooms, check in was exceptional and so was check out, Sarah at reception was excellent , due to disabled customer , a car park arranged on site.

Our night at the Southbank Novotel was perfect. The rooms were great. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing as was breakfast the next morning and the magician entertaining the children at breakfast was a special treat. The staff were exceptional. The only downer was not being able to park in the hotel, but in the Convention Centre across the road. The other problem we had was that the whole family tested Covid positive on return home.

Handy to the QPAC, BCEC and South Bank

Close to West End and South Bank. Restaurant was open with a reasonable variety and meals were great value. Hopefully soon the world will be back to normal. Staff were friendly. Enjoyed our time there.
