Letitia M TripAdvisor review

Took an hour to check in as couldn’t find the booking, and after that wait was told it was our fault, but they did find the booking , so unsure how that was our fault, breakfast food was good, but small seating area, we had to sit on a couch to eat breakfast , room was ok, no mirror in room to do makeup and hair except for bathroom, travel for work often and this was a first at check in, 3 people involved, and to then blame

Staff were great and super friendly. Breakfast was good, cooked well. Room was clean and good size. Location ideal, easy to get to anywhere in Bristol. Not a 10 due to walls being thin and windows rattled

Hi Alex, Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We’re thrilled to hear that you found our staff super friendly and enjoyed the well-cooked breakfast. It’s always our pleasure to provide a clean and spacious room for our guests, and it’s great to know our central location made it easy for you to explore the vibrant city of Bristol. We’ve made a note about the thin walls and the window issue – it’s rather unusual as our building is historic, but we’ll certainly look into this. Remember, for a future visit, we have earplugs on hand to ensure your rest isn’t disturbed. We hope to welcome you back for a more enjoyable stay. Take care, Karl Goebel, General Manager

Well placed for St Nicholas Market and bars and restaurants.

Nicole S TripAdvisor review

First stay at this hotel in Bristol, whilst visiting our daughter. Centrally located for all bars, and restaurants and St Nicholas Market. The rooms, a double and family room that were booked were both of a good size. Downsides - carpets in both rooms had parts that were threadbare, and for us the the toilet was too close to the sink and the bath not particularly easy to get in to use the shower. (Personally I think it's time that ALL hotels changed to shower rooms as much easier for everyone) The walls were very thin so very noisy. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from in a nice seating area. There is a multi storage car park as part of the hotel that is charged at £17 for a 24hr stay, payable at reception where you will be given an exit card.

Hi Nicole, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. It's great to hear you found our location ideal for exploring the vibrant St Nicholas Market and the nearby eateries! Our team is thrilled that you enjoyed the spaciousness of both the double and family room. We're also pleased that our breakfast selection hit the spot for you in our welcoming dining area. We take note of your comments about the room's carpet and the bathroom setup; it's feedback like this that enables us to focus on what matters to our guests. While we're proud of the building's historic charm, we're always looking to improve, and your insights are invaluable. As for the noise, we're looking into ways to ensure a restful environment for all our guests, and we do offer earplugs for those who have lighter sleep. Lastly, just a tiny mention, our parking is actually £15.00 per night, but we appreciate that parking in the city centre can be a surprise sometimes. Rest assured, we're here to make your stay as smooth as possible. We hope to see you next time you are in Bristol. All the best, Karl Goebel, General Manager

Scammers!

Claire B TripAdvisor review

Stayed at the hotel recently and used their car park, which I paid for in full at the reception. Thought nothing of it until I got a £100 parking fine in the post days later. I contacted the hotel and the parking company with proof of payment, but was basically told it was out of their hands. So now I’m being charged again for something I already paid for. What kind of setup is this? If a hotel can’t ensure its guests are protected from dodgy third-party parking fines, that’s a huge red flag. Totally ruins the experience and makes you feel like you’re being scammed. Won’t be staying here again – not because of the room or service, but because I don’t like being fined for following the rules. Avoid unless you’re happy to pay double for parking and waste your time chasing appeals.

Hello Claire, Thanks for taking the time to share your review. While it's great to hear that you chose to stay with us, it's clear from your review that the parking situation has left a sour taste. We want to reassure you that we value honesty and transparency, and it's disappointing to hear about the parking charge issue. Our on-site parking is designed to offer convenience and security, and it's concerning to learn that this was not your experience. We always aim to resolve any issues with third-party services promptly and efficiently, and we apologize if this process was not as smooth as it should have been for you. We hope that you will return in the future for a more enjoyable stay. Take care, Karl Goebel, General Manager
