I visited with a friend mid week. The hotel is very central to where we needed to be. Close to shops, Xmas markets & tram and train station (Piccadilly). We were able to check in earlier than time stated, which was great for us. The hotel has a unique decorative choice (based on the weather) but was funky and interesting to explore. The reception area had seating and a vending machine for drinks/snacks. There is also an internal entrance to the restaurant next door, though we didn't visit. You cannot get onto the floors with bedrooms without your room card which made it feel very secure. The room had everything you'd expect and was very clean. Our room didn't have any natural light due to location but when you are using it to just lay your head, that isn't a problem. The room we stayed in was petite but had room to move around and sockets by the bed so suited us perfectly. When staying in Manchester, I would definitely stay here again

Stayed at Ibis as it was central to train stations and town centre, for Christmas m.. Disappointed with breakfast although a good choice it was luke warm. The air conditioning was extremely noisy in the room and as we were in a room at the back of the hotel the noise was unbearable. We did mention this to reception staff but got no joy. Will not be in a rush to stay again.
