Mercure need to fix their phone system

This hotel never answers their phones, it's impossible to get through to anyone from outside the hotel. Speaks volumes about the hotel quality if you're unable to ever reach anyone. This is basic customer service. If you ring reception you expect they pickup anytime of the day, especially outside busy peak times (i.e middle of day or late at night). Singapore is a 24/7 destination. Tried numerous times over different time periods so cannot use excuse it was busy, and even reservations. Fix your phone system and get people to answer the phone. Had queries related to a stay which went unanswered and it was definitely the Mercure line as prompts were there when calling - but when selecting the number to dial through....no one answered. Unacceptable.

Well located, clean and impressive Christmas Deco. Very friendly , smiley and helpful housekeeper at level 11- ms Nguyen Ven Ut. Value for money for people who likes to shop, try variety of local food. Very centralised yet not noisy. 5ms walk to famous Buddhist temple - Kwan Yin Temple.

Good Price Point and Accessible

The hotel is located near Bugis MRT and in the midst of many malls and tourist attractions within walking distance. There are many good food options at Tan Quee Lan street and City Hall area. Stayed at the loft room which is quite nice. But even though it can have up to three persons staying in it, the shower and toilet facilities do not have enough privacy for that. Overall, hotel interior looks a little dated and some parts are in need of repair. But I think the customer service here is top-notch. The guys at the bar are friendly and prompt, the staff are always there to answer questions. I would like to give a special shoutout to Joey who is one of the duty managers. At check-in, she was very professional and polite, even when we were very puzzled and frustrated by the hotel’s position to sight physical identify cards when I had the digital copy on SingPass. Turned out to be a rather dated legislation that is currently under review. Throughout the process, she was very calm and composed, and ensured that the hotel was not flouting the law. This is the first time I have experienced any hotels in Singapore - and we have stayed in at least 15 this year - asking for my ohysical IC. I have had to travel home to retrieve my IC before returning to the hotel. But got to give it to the lady who stood firm and did the right thing. Good job, Joey!

Exceptional Front Desk Service by Joey at Mercure Bugis

I recently stayed at Mercure Bugis Singapore and had multiple rooms booked for my overseas guests across different days and check-in times. Throughout my stay, Joey Ong at the front desk was absolutely outstanding. She handled all my bookings smoothly and professionally, even anticipating my questions and needs before I asked—especially around which guests were checking in on which day and at what time. That level of attention and foresight took away a lot of stress from coordinating multiple arrivals. On top of that, Joey is consistently warm, kind, and patient. Her friendly smile and professional tone of voice made every interaction a pleasure and truly made me feel welcome. As the first person guests encounter, she really elevates the image of Mercure Bugis and sets a very high standard for hospitality. Because of Joey’s exceptional service, I feel very confident recommending Mercure Bugis Singapore to others and will gladly stay here again.

I had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—convenient, accessible, and close to everything (Shopping malls, Temple, Food) I needed. The customer service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. The hinges on the toilet door gave way and we informed the customer service officer in charge about it. They handled it well and arrange a replacement room immediately as they need time to replace the toilet door. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would be happy to return for another stay.
