Obnoxious Male Receptionist

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights from 17th December 2024. The hotel is well located for the main Milan sights with a Metro station just around the corner. Our double room was of a good size, although the shower was very small. The room also had a lovely balcony, which due to the poor weather we couldn’t make use of. Our one and only complaint of the hotel was the obnoxious and very rude male receptionist. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, however, these are provided via a hot water machine and tea bag / coffee sachets, near to the bar area on the ground floor. Having made an observation to the receptionist that there was no milk to go with the hot drinks, he absolutely blew his top saying how he couldn’t believe I was complaining over something that was being provided for free. My wife and I tried to have a conversation with him, only to be shut down, and told that he didn’t want to speak to us any further, and wouldn’t allow my wife to speak, before walking away. We have never been spoken to by any hotel staff around the world the way this man spoke to us. He was truly rude and obnoxious, and should never be allowed to interact with customers. He was not only a disgrace to Accor hotels but also to Italian people. My wife who is Italian said afterwards that he made her feel embarrassed to be Italian.

Basic hotel close to Milan’s Centrale station. It has the essentials for sleeping. The bed is a bit uncomfortable and the shower is very small. During our stay, the air conditioning didn’t work. They could improve more. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel meets the standard. They offer free luggage storage that you can use if you arrive before check-in or if you want to explore Milan after check-out.

I had made a reservation from the 14th to the 17th. The reservation was fully paid. On the 13th, I visited the hotel in person and informed them that I would only check in on the 15th, and I was told that there would be no problem. Upon arriving at the hotel on the 15th for check-in, I was treated very poorly. An extremely rude individual began shouting and insulting me. He claimed to be the owner of the hotel and started throwing and slamming my passport on the desk. My document was crumpled. In Brazil, this would be considered moral harassment accompanied by humiliation and xenophobia, which is a criminal offense and should warrant arrest. He simply refused to provide me with the room. Additionally, he refused to inform me of the breakfast hours, which had already been paid for. I did not even receive breakfast. ACCOR should investigate the behavior of this person, an elderly man with an extreme lack of civility, using offensive language and making derogatory remarks. I assume the hotel has surveillance cameras. I advise against staying at this hotel. Furthermore, there are many reviews on Google mentioning similar experiences, where people were humiliated by this individual.

Amazing location near Milan train station. Clean room that are a decent size! We also had a balcony which was a nice surprise!! However, make sure you close the balcony door properly as we didn't and when it rained water came into the room! I would stay here again!

Stayed in a double room as Accor Platinum. Location is good. About a 12 min walk from Milano Centrale and close to Lima metro station (good for Linate airport access). Welcome was efficient. Drinks voucher provided. We were allocated a corner room with large balcony. Thank you. Room was spacious. So too was the bathroom. Aircon worked well (not always a given in Italy) and wifi was as very good. We paid extra (15 euro) for breakfast. It was good. There was no street noise in the room and we slept well. They have a secure luggage storage room. Our only complaint was the water saver shower head was very strict on water. Otherwise it was a fabulous stay.
