Apart from the night reception guy and the Senegalese day security man this hotel is terrible. Check in was a scrimmage no organisation, people pushing in the staff were pleasant but had no control. Apparently we had an upgrade, same room but we got a coffee machine (neither of us drink coffee) The room is pokey, the furniture is flimsy mdf, 3 plastic mismatched hangers in the wardrobe that had no doors. There’s no fridge in the room. The worst part is no air con. The room is very stuffy and the window only opened 1” The first night I was so hot I went down to reception at 3am and sat there until 6.30am. There’s a lot of noise all night from the square below the window as all the food delivery drivers sit down there and wait for orders, all night they’re there. There’s second night was the same, hot and noisy. €3 for a Coke Zero for the non working vending machine or spend €7 on one from the bar. The location of the hotel is good but what good is that when you’re too tired to go sightseeing?? The hotel is clean, the bathroom stocked with amenities but the shower temp wasn’t stable one minute roasting the next freezing. If due to city control the air con can’t be used then the hotel should have a contingency plan it’s a miserable place to stay

This is a cheap pleasant hotel, check in was easy and friendly Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh food, the room was small but the bed comfortable and shower was hot. The hotel has great transport links to all parts of the city and is only about a 10min walk from the train station.

Extremely Disappointed – Not Up to Standard The welcome at reception was very underwhelming—unfriendly and lacking even a basic smile or greeting. Some customer service training is definitely needed. The room itself was extremely small, barely enough space to open a suitcase. Honestly, Thompson and travelwithtambo South Africa, I expected better. I had seen some concerning reviews and tried to change the booking, but the travel agent didn’t offer any alternatives. Surely there are better options available.

Not what I was expecting from the modern photos on the website. The room was very small and dark, there was no air conditioning and the room was far too hot 24/7. We were absolutely sweating constantly which made us rush out the room every day. The tram line was also located outside our room which made it noisy all throughout the night and what sounded like metal being rattled about. There were also no vanity kits provided as also advertised in photos. Overall it was a huge let down, the only good thing was it is very central and most attractions are within walking distance.

Everything was super clean and comfortable. The room was quiet and the location is ideal as ir is nearby the central train station. The neighborhood was safe. Nearby you can find super market and nice places to eat. The staff was excellent and they even greeted us in greek!!! I would certainly stay there again.
