Decent hotel if you can book a discounted rate

Very compact but modern, efficient and well equipped hotel room. The cosy double room was fine for a solo traveler and was true to the pictures online. Well cleaned (with the exception of the coffee mugs), and free refreshments in room fridge. Easy 5 minute walk to and from Paddington Station, which connects to multiple lines. If coming from Heathrow, book the Heathrow Express for a nice, air conditioned ride to Paddington in 15 minutes. There were a few hiccups though: shower did not drain properly, TV did not work the first day, a/c had to be reset, and reception did not answer the phone. Also, one member of the staff seemed very intent on making me wait to check in without even looking up my room. Thankfully another staff chimed in to say that the room was ready. After a 10 hour flight, I do not want to deal with that kind of nonsense--early check in is not a big deal and should not be withheld if available. Early morning (overnight) checkout staff was excellent. Overall, fair value for what I paid, but would have disappointed if paying full price.

Tiny room , over priced. Breakfast included was actually in a cafe down the road , not in the hotel. Blind and t.v not working Location was good to get to Wembley stadium and that was about it Door passes didnt work first time Called room service and reception no answer

We travel a lot and are members of some hotel group bonus programmes. With Accor we have silver status and have been satisfied with Accor so far. This experience borders on fraud. We had booked a room for 4 nights and were travelling by car. The hotel states on the reservation page that parking is available nearby. We spent several hours on the day of arrival trying to find a reasonable parking space for our car, which was about 15 minutes walk away. So, we decided to stay only the first night, according to the general terms of our booking. Therefore, we cancelled the reservation on the day of arrival. The receptionist confirmed that we would get our money back for the remaining 3 nights. She left a note in the booking system. So far so good. Here it comes: The next morning we spoke to the manager who checked us out and told us that she would take care of the refund. Despite several mails and reminders, which by the way are not answered, we did not get the money back, although the terms and conditions are clearly in our favour. We are also very unhappy with Accor because they offer no support at all in this case. Via Accor's self-service portal, the mail is forwarded 1:1 to the hotel, which is not helpful in this case. It seems impossible to get in touch with an Accor service agent. We spent several hours trying to contact them through various channels. After a week we are still waiting for an answer to our mails, contact form or for the refund of our money. And in addition: Normally we always receive a survey about the stay after check out. It is probably no coincidence that this time we did not receive a link from Accor or the hotel. It's as if they had no intention of refunding us in the first place.

Overall the stay was pleasant; in a quiet and convenient location (close to restaurants, bars, trains and cabs) making it easy to get around the city and visit major attractions, landmarks and sights. Reservations: useless. The hotel charged accommodation 30 days in advance and on check in only then did they allocate a room - giving us a LG “basement room”. 0 out of 5. Reception: friendly staff and very welcoming, BOURAN was memorable and made our stay truly comfortable and always greeted us with a smile. A couple of issues with the room (see below) which frustrated us were solved by her kindness and generosity during our stay with ease and without complaint. 4 out of 5. Room: broken television, in room phone did not work; shower water pressure was terrible and had calcified, dust on some surfaces and Alexa did not work in the room (could not connect to Internet). These issues were plaguing our stay for 2 days until reception was able to resolve. The shower worked well after it was cleaned correctly. Dust was removed from the room and the patio was cleaned making for a more enjoyable remainder of our stay. 4 out of 5. Service: BOURAN on reception went above and beyond to fix the issues with the room. Within hours of complaint via email and in person at the front desk, issues were resolved and an apology bottle of Prosecco, roses and chocolates were delivered to the room. All staff were kind and attentive. On check out, BOURAN organised our travel arrangement to the London City Airport which was ready and waiting on our return as promised to the hotel after some final sight seeing. 5 out of 5. Restaurant: the restaurant located at this property Bella Italia is well attended to, breakfast in the room rate was choice of hot cooked item and access to an assortment of cold buffet and fresh juices. The omelette is massive so after two days of trying to eat it all we switched to a lighter option. 5 out of 5. Bar: not impressed. Serves terrible bottom shelf beverages and has no view faces inwards to residential buildings that are disheveled. Service leaves much to be desired. 1 out of 5.

This is a very nice and simple hotel with a great proximity to the Kensington/Paddington/Hyde Park neighborhoods. We stayed in one of the standard rooms with a queen bed. It was quite small, but comfortable and very clean. The highlight to the room was the rain-style shower that had excellent water pressure. Taking a cool shower after trekking in the summer heat and humidity helped me unwind and be ready for our next outing. The hotel staff were very kind and warm at check-in and each encounter.
