Several Positives, Several Negatives

Context: My wife and I accompanied by our Adult Son. 4 nights in 2 Deluxe Rooms on 10th Floor: 1 * King and 1 * Twin. All Accor Member. First time at this Hotel. Three Positives (in no particular order): +ve: Decent, modern, large, well laid out rooms with nice en-suite’s. Comfortable beds. +ve: Good location for Kemayoran, convenient for Ancol, Sunter. Taxi’s always available. +ve: Friendly, obliging staff (but how well trained and how well managed are they?). Seven not-so-positives (in no particular order): -ve: We arrived ~7.30 p.m. 3 Check-in Desks but only 1 staff member attending to guests. No obvious urgency to attend to those needing to check-in. A 12-minute wait. -ve: Accor Loyalty counts for little here. At check-in, the attitude is ‘there’s your soft drink voucher, that’s your Accor recognition done’. Forget late check-out, for example. -ve: Sound-proofing of rooms is poor, as others have commented here. You can hear everything from the corridors, lift arrival chimes etc. Clearly a construction defect. -ve: Housekeeping staff are friendly and obliging but are they well trained? Are they well supervised? We needed to specifically request toilet paper, hand towels etc. -ve: Pedestrian service at Plumeria Lounge. Twice I had to walk upto the Entrance to get some service for my group. And 30 mins to serve a cheese-cake slice? Poorly managed. -ve: Nice lobby but on 2 mid-afternoons during our stay, the ambience was ruined by it becoming the storage depot for atleast 150-200 (chained) suitcases for several hours. -ve: My IDR 15 Mln deposit, signed against my credit card at check-in, still has not been released, more than 4 Days after checking-out. My final bill was paid in full at check-out. Overrall impression: a relatively modern property in need of a more diligent, more focused management. We’ll likely try another Hotel for our next Kemayoran stay, there are other options.

Very great place for Wedding. Thank you for chandra F&B for helping us for running the event. And all staff help to make all event running well. The place have lot of room to crew and for the other event such as tea pai, crew room, make up room, and for family waiting room.

Beautiful hotel - centrally located. Rooms are adequately large with all modern amenities. Safety locker and mini fridge included. Staff were polite, helpful and courteous. Breakfast was a lavish spread of continental, asian and malay cousine.

Business hotel for conference

Nice hotel for conference and business travel. Like the breakfast and lounge. Enjoy the convenience of cab and shops within walking distance. There is nice spa on level 8 but no time to visit. Smoking lounge is ok as long air flow is ok.

Big nice looking hotel with nice room, check in staff very professional. You can however hear people speaking in the other rooms and when they run water so weak sound proofing I assume. Food: nice looking dining rooms but not great food in terms of quality, very average more the type you would find a 4 or 3 star, they knew there was a major trade show coming (they asked that I confirm/pay the first night 3 weeks after I booked because they were very full) and they knew this. I needed to order from room service, 3 simple items including a salad were sold out before 5:30 pm? Morning buffet very standard and not worth the price. One morning they forgot to make up my room... Room Service breakfast: if you don't take a set breakfast they get it wrong all 3 mornings. This is an average hotel charging above average hotel prices, only stayed there for 4 nights because it was close to the exhibition place. I normally stay at other hotels for same price that are much better. And last bu not least, if you are vegetarian, there is almost nothing for you and they are not very accommodating if you ask for changes.
