During pandemic, this is our first time to jave staycation in Mercure Ancol. Our last staycation, i think, was in mid 2019. I was stayed on 18 - 20 Dec 2021, 1st night was in room 353, it got lot small ants around table and tv's wall. Called guest service, and their pest control spray something, but it didnt solve it as after few hours or so, those ants come back. They need to properly check their room. On 2nd night, we moved to 857, with hope get better room. Too bad it had connection door, which make us or the other guest can heard our kids noise. The room ambience feels old, well its an old hotel, but before this we stay in better room ambience. TV remote have few malfunction or low battery, not so sure. Last, we have minor dispute regarding checkout. On that 2nd night, our room didnt ready at 14:00, so they asked us to stay in 353 while waiting. But our kids got boring and i informed them we are going out while waiting. Then got called from Mercure around 16.48, that our room ready. The dispute happen when we asked for late checkout as we have the room at 16.48 based on their called. But in Mercure Ancol record, 857 ready on 16.00. 2hours late. But they didnt allow us to late checkin till 2pm, must at the lobby on 13.30. My wife quite upset. Next, breakfast, utensils not clean enough, if other guests notice, glasses/plates mostly not clean enough, u can still see the lefover. Kind of surprised mercure ancol not the same as our previous nice staycations. Probably during pandemic got too many staff rotations ? Or lack of staffs? 🤔

Old but well maintained

Stayed here for family vacation for 2 nights and received great service from Ms. Isa from GRO team. The hotel was crowded during day of check-in so was unable to get the room early, but no complaint since we spent some time for lunch within Ancol area. We were also give late check-out until 4 pm, which allow the kids to take a nap after morning activities, thank you Ms. Isa for arranging it. As Platinum member we were upgraded to Deluxe Balcony Room which looks rejuvenated after renovation probably couple years back, it was spacious. Balcony was overlooking to the ocean albeit very small, but understandable since it's part of the old building design. The pool was not too clean for our liking, water color is not clear, many bugs & leaves on the surface. Unfortunately the slide was not operating / under maintenance too while we stayed. Breakfast was a low point of our stay, taste and variety unfortunately was not really up there compared with other Mercure hotels. In general was a good stay for the family.

Perfect escape for weekend

Perfect location, great view, cozy room, friendly, overall is a very good experience, the only set back was the check-in time which is at four o'clock in the afternoon. Definitely will come back sometimes.

Hi buryhardjanto, Thank you for your comments and feedback as this allows for us to respond accordingly and ideally communicate with any new guests wanting to stay at the hotel. Currently our check-in time is 4 pm this is largely due to large departures of rooms and the turnaround time and attention to detail needed to ensure the room is ready for our next guests. With 438 rooms in the hotel this can be a challenge when we have more than 300 rooms checking out if not on time. We do require our guests to check out no later than 12 noon so that this does give us enough time to clean. The majority of cases we can have the rooms back earlier especially if guests do check out prior or at noon. Great location heritage hotel. Very well maintained. But i think u should train ur staffs for hospitality and friendly manner. Especially for woman staffs. But its fine overall because the accor staff treat me well.

The service by the Mercure Ancol team is very very wonderful! From the check in : with Ms Ratih and Mr Lizam, who are very helpful to help me getting the best view out of my booking, then housekeeping team, led by Mr. Bambang who proactively contacted me to get the room ready before coming in (I upraded to suite in the middle of the trip). until after checked out, Mr. Prasetyo, who informed me that we forgot our laptop in the suite room. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Best service in Ancol for sure!

Ac hot cant sleep noisy too dont get free pass&complimentary voucher for beverages anymoreeee bf taking too long too refill check in also took more than 30min dissapointed with service I think because not enough staff to handle

With regards to the Ancol pass we advise our guests that this is not included in the rate as this is operated separately to the hotel prior to arrival. With complimentary drink vouchers we offer these to our Le club loyalty members who are silver and above. If this is not the case please accept my apology as I need to follow up with my team as our promise to our members. With regards to breakfast and check in, I am sorry about the delays. I travelled with my family, a group of 4 include an elder and a kid. We plan to have a staycation during Christmas week holiday at Ancol area so we picked Mercure. It’s great for its location if you wanted to strolling Ancol area. Unfortunately we disappointed and didn’t enjoy our stay for 4 days-3 nights. it’s supposed to be 4-stars hotel.we’re expecting for 4-stars hotel service, especially the hotel wasn’t cheap, but we didn’t experienced it. The building was old, the elevator need to upgraded. It didn’t have sensor, and closed really quick. It’s dangerous for kids and elderly. You always need to rush to enter or out, and the elevator was quite small. Although the building old, but the room was spacious, well designed, nice color. it spacious for 4 of us. The bed OK but the blankets really need to changed for newer one, it was kind yellowish colored turned from white. Housekeeping didn’t change or mat sheet even it’s wet all over, we just need to complained to ask for change. But the fresh towels smell really nice. The shower area floor was slippery, you will easily slipped if you’re not walk really carefully. I suppose they never brushed the floor. We ordered room service Mie tek-tek was tasted really nice and hot, but our pickle was not fresh at all. We then never order room service anymore. At breakfast time on our first morning, I’m expecting to taste a fresh fruit platter. Unfortunately my Papaya was not fresh and smell not good. I returned and complained, but the respond from the staff was not really concerning of what I experienced. We never had breakfast anymore there. the hotel is not really recommended. i will find another better hotel.

I do agree that the building is old as the property has been operating now for 45 years and is an institution in the Ancol area. We have recently finished the refurbishment on our accommodation rooms and in review of other area in the hotel including the the lifts that will could do with a face lift. I have asked our lift supplier to review all our lifts and check the sensors to ensure all are in good working condition as safety is extremely important. I have shared your further comments with our operational team of both the kitchen and housekeeping as these are basic items that should be easily addressed. Very comfort stay at hotel... nice hotel at North Jakarta... near beach and recreation places...And the food very delicious not bad... just maybe sometimes entry ticket Ancol include cost to stay at Hotel...

I stayed with my family for one night and everything went fine, the service is good, staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was big and were upgrade from garden view to swim pool view. It is well located if you are interested in the atteactions inside Ancol area.

For information that we provide welcome drink for our Le Club and Accor Plus member and they can choose from the wide range of drink list based on their Le Club or Accor Plus card level. Yes we provide coffee and tea for our Le Club Classic member. And there are many variance can be choosen by the guests, starting from hot tea or hot coffee to flavoured tea, such as strawberry / blackberry / lychee tea to cappuccino / expresso / americano / latte, etc. Fresh juice is provided for our Le Club or Accor Plus Siilver member. The hotel is good. I got an accident when i parked the car at the car park inside the hotel. There is a big tree inside the car park and it is not straight tree. When i parked the car my car hit the tree because at night was very dark. no body thing there is a leaning tree. I have informed the reception

the new interior is great, love the room so much. The employees are nice, great hospitality. Sure want to come back. Breakfast needs to improve. But we love the pastries anyway. The garden/landscape nearby the restaurant patio's also need to be more manage, regarding there's a building that blocked the beach' view.

Very Good Family Hotels

Loved to stay at this hotel. Although this hotel located only 45 minutes from our house, my 2 sons always happy just to have short staycation at this hotel since they were 2 or 3 yo. This hotel has good swimming pool for kids and adults. Just to bad that it was under repair when we visit without any information for the officers. Breakfast is also very good with reasonable price for additional pax. My suggestion only for the linen and towels, I think its time for Mercure to change with the new ones, the colors is not white anymore and I feel not comfort with it.

We are sorry for our kids Slider under maintenance but due to the heavy usage and the safety we focus on this facility, we are doing 2 to 3 weeks maintenance every 6 months usually before Lebaran and before Christmas Holidays. I shared your comment about towel to our team and our laundry for better attention. We invest every trimester on new towels to make sure that the stock turnover never exceed our quality standard. I had long wanted to spend my long weekend in this only oceanside hotel in Jakarta. Surrounding activities and parks are beautiful, especially the Allianz Ecopark with many interesting animals. Staff service and their kind Indonesian hospitality were just great. Our Grand Deluxe Ocean Balcony room had just the view I was hoping for and lift location was conveniently near the restaurant. In case you would like to have a swimming pool view in addition to the ocean then you just ask for it. Only minor problem with room was the sound proofing as many rooms can be connected with each other for families and the sound isolation was not good. On the other hand it was fun to see soooou many families over the Chinese New Year weekend.Pool area is great and beautiful but as the location is by the ocean it is advisable to bring insect repellent with you there. Makes your life easier later.Sunda Kelapa restaurant was great for occasional dinners and always plentiful and versatile breakfasts. Excellent staff attention and care all the time. Nelayan bar offers impeccable service also including cakes and sandwiches to go in the evening. In Ancol you have also great selection of several types of restaurants to choose from during your stay.My best regards to excellent staff, keep up the good work!

lots of amenities, super friendly staff, and its all in one entertainment because it's in ancol, morning go to the beach, ride cable car, and goin back to swin at the hotel, then dinner at bandar jakarta. the only downside is, this hotel always full, so we rarely get late checkout

Almost all is the best, especially location for vacation, and swimming pool for kids. Except breakfast package taste is under expectation, and room with no bath tub.Choose wing and 4th floor or higher for good ocean view.

Great staff, good food, great location, value for money!!!! Very nice stay. I will stay again at this hotel next time I am in Jakarta. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, both local and international dishes. The rooms are big, seaview, balcony and clean.

Worst breakfast services, long check in, many ants in my room

This is my second time to stay at this hotel since last year.The food is ok, but the quequeing and the staff is not well trained. The breakfast time was very crowded and We have to search for our own table before we can eat, we have to moving around and compete with other guest in order to get a table. There is no quequeing system, wherby the first come should be first serve. The bereakfast staff they told me to search my table by my own, i never treated like this in other accor hotels.Check in is also worst, it took me around 30 minutes in order to get my room. And i've mentioned in my booking that i want my twin bed to be set up in hollywood style, but when i get into the room my bed still not prepared yet, and they told us that there is no hollywood style in mercure ancol (how weird, i stayed there last year and checked in with the same room and i got my hollywood style set up at that time), the service room staff was very good and he deliver me a compliment drink as the apologize due to that matter.And the last thing, there was so many ants in my room, i stayed in grand deluxe room number 1058.Come on i know this is not a mercure standard you should can improve it

We will continue to improve. Until today we only provided twin single beds, twin queen beds or king beds. We will start to implement Hollywood beds next months to provide 2 single beds OR 1 king bed in the same room. Finally, due to our green area and many food left in rooms, it is not surprising to find ants around despite the strong pest control daily.
