Darling Harbour location right next to Light Rail stop. Wilson Parking just across the street. We are Accor Platinum but I’ve never seen such an impressive welcome as here. At check in we were ushered to a lift straight up to the lounge for a private check in over a glass of bubbles. Very civilised and super helpful. Room wasn’t upgraded but that’s fine. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and equipped with TWG tea bags, quality wine glasses and everything we needed. Ear plugs were provided on demand but we didn’t have any construction noise overnight. The club was brilliant with great service, delicious snacks and a wide selection of adult drinks. They even had table service. Checkout was just as hassle free. Wifi worked well. Aircon was excellent. Honestly, nothing to fault. As a guest you’ll have a good stay, as a platinum member (or pay for club access) you’ll be treated like royalty.

This hotel has good location with Convention Light Rail Stop just across the street from the hotel and the Darling Harbour area within walking distance. Check in process was fast and the friendly agent acknowledged my membership status and informed me all the benefits during my stay but unfortunately I did not get any upgrade during my stay. The room is quite tight but has nice view of the harbour area. The room and bathroom has lots of amenities and it is refilled proactively during housekeeping services. The main negative things I noticed during my stay as in my previous stay in this hotel is the lighting goes off completely after certain time and you have to turn it on again manually so it is not ideal for people who have problem sleeping in the dark. Fortunately the friendly service desk help arrange for the engineer to put some lamp that is able to be turned on continuously. I had breakfast in the main restaurant throughout my stay and it has wide selection in the buffet area and of high quality. They also offer some additional items that can be ordered from the menu. Eventhough it could get very busy the service was very fast and the buffet is refilled promptly. I also tried the club lounge few times during the afternoon tea and evening cocktail hours. The offering was quite limited but the service was very good like other part of the hotel. Overall I would like to return to this hotel but hopefully they can solve the annoying lighting situation in the room to give more choices to their customers.

Wow! What a few days of fun!! This is my first review… The Sofitel Darling Harbour experience was so outstanding, I thought I’d share the feedback on Advisor! I was there to unwind and relax and Sofitel delivered! Definitely well worth a visit! Club Millesime was extraordinary. All staff from the concierge to the housekeeping and Club went above and beyond to make our stay special! Elmo in the Club /Executive lounge remembered our orders and genuinely wanted us to have a great stay, remembering our favourite drinks and providing genuine interest in our stay. Thanks Sofitel Darling Harbour, I’ll be back!

An Unforgettable Stay

We had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour thanks to my Amex free night, and with an additional $250, we upgraded to a corner room with a harbor view on a Saturday. We arrived after 2 PM and spent a little over 30 minutes in the check-in line. Unfortunately, we could only obtain a late check-out for an hour. The room was quite spacious. The main reason for the upgrade was to give our 4-year-old a chance to see the fireworks before heading straight to bed since she goes to sleep early. Consequently, the three of us ended up squeezing into the bathtub/basin area and sitting on the floor or in the bathtub while we watched the fireworks. It was an unforgettable experience watching fireworks in such closed proximity for our girl! The infinity pool was delightful on a warm January day, but the water felt quite chilly in the late afternoon. I understand that the water temperature is set between 24 and 27 degrees, but it definitely feels colder in the afternoon, likely due to it being an outdoor pool. This might be something for management to review. We dined at the Atelier restaurant, and our daughter recognised the "pineapple juice" lady from when we checked in. The service was excellent—the team was professional and made our dining experience enjoyable. One small aspect that the restaurant management could improve upon is the bread quality. We are quite fond of good bread before the entrée, and we noticed the bread tends to be chewy and unpleasant. We're excited to return this December for another birthday celebration, and as platinum member, we look forward to enjoying the club benefits!

We stayed here for 4 nights in May, we had visited family out of Sydney central and when we got here the staff were great. We had the best time, very flash for us and the view was good(although not the harbour) but so much to look at. Location was good for us. We did have dinner in the hotel restaurant on my birthday. It was nice and a bit flash. Sadly I thought I might have been wished Happy Birthday as my husband went to recheck our dinner time and told them a few times. It wasn't that I need to be wished it just thought it might have been nice. Meal was very expensive. but overall an excellent stay, we would stay again if we come to Darling Harbour.
