This hotel completely exceeded our expectations during our 4 night stay. Cleanliness was excellent, rooms modern, clean and spacious. Air con and comfort in the room was excellent, bathroom mirror, lighting and shower pressure excellent also. Breakfast was a highlight for us the female breakfast manager and her team were excellent - warm welcome everyday, remembered our order for coffee, eggs etc; but was also attentive to all guests. The breakfast selection was very high quality and fresh. Location of the hotel is excellent very close to Darling Harbour, Chinatown and beside the Chinese Garden of Friendship. Definitely recommend and will return.

Rooms very small. Andrew at front desk was arrogant and even rude to his colleagues. Told me I couldn’t use accor points for a meal (several times) Another staff member assisted and whilst she was sorting it, she offered to show him how to do it. His reply ‘I already know how to do it‘ and then he chuckled - If he already knew, why wouldn’t he do it for me? This was the third issue I had with him. He was most unhelpful, unfriendly and self righteous. Monica on the other hand was a delight. How she works alongside him with such a professional manner is beyond me. Monica was all over everything, pleasant and knowledgeable.

Friendly Staff, Comfortable Room & Excellent Location.

We were welcomed by the most friendly young man at reception. I’m only sad I didn’t get his name. He was extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. Pointing us in the direction to get us to Bondi Beach for the afternoon. The room was a nice size, clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was lovely to. We didn’t really use the facilities but did have a quick look at the pool, which would have been nice for a swim. The Location was perfect for us. An easy stroll into Darling Harbour to have lunch and catch the ferry to Circilar Quay. We also saw a musical at the Capitol Theatre which was an easy walk back via China town for dinner. We got a great deal and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank You.

Disappointed Novotel darling square

Booked a superior king for my sister and I, when we arrived we were given an accessible room, which was no issue except for the bed was tiny (a queen size if that, as stated on their website). When we brought up the issue the next day at the reception desk they told us, those rooms are the same as the superior king, which is when I said about the queen bed stated online. We were then told we were too late to be changed room so had to stay another night in an incorrect room. We were told to come back in the morning and they would organise to move our bags while we were out during the day. When we went down that morning we were told to go back and get our bags ourselves and just leave them at reception and bring them up to our new room after 2pm. The new room was much different to the original, much bigger bed, better amenities, included body lotion and conditioner and bottled water, all which the accessible room does not have. The towels were also dirty. There was no apology or acknowledgment or compensation for giving us the wrong room. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We spent two out of three nights in the incorrect room., after we paid good money for a 4 star hotel.

As our standard superior rooms have different bedding configuration, it may have as King, as Queen bedding set up. And it seems that on your arrival you have been allocated in the room with the Queen bed. Please less assured that the team took you feedback seriously and really wanted to make it up to you, so, that is why they have actually complimentary upgraded you to our executive room type for the last night, so that you can enjoy those extra amenities and the space. However, we are really sorry that it was not communicated to you directly. A wonderful location and excellent services, staff and food. Couldn't ask for better views, location to everything and it also had a quiet area, smoke free balcony and lots of information about attractions. The weekly fireworks could be seen in an evening and it was right next to multitudes of attractions.
