ibis budget Blankenberge 2 estrelas

This is a purpose-built Ibis adjoining the railway station at Blankenberge. It is clean and modern, and uses personalised entry codes for the lift and rooms for added security. The rooms are very basic and sparse but are thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the space. There is a drop-down shelf which serves as a desk, and a folding chair is provided. There were plenty of electrical outlets and USB charging points. I found the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise with a good-sized shower. Even with the window open I was not disturbed by the trains outside. Breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate, though there are probably better options available in town. There was a bit of a mix-up over the price of the breakfast (I ended up getting charged twice) though this was easily sorted out in a few minutes. All in all I was very happy, but had I been staying longer or with somebody else, I would probably go for the Mercure next door.

Immaculately presented fairly new hotel right beside the railway station, but without any disturbance from the trains. I'd a front facing room overlooking the church and the noise insulation was faultless. The weather was very cold but the room was easily kept very warm. Enough room for a solo guest and sufficient storage - only negative was none of the coat hangers had a bar on them to hang trousers over. At quiet times the reception desk is unstaffed and you need to check-in at the adjoining Mercure - breakfast is also served there on quiet days. The buffet selection at both hotels is to very good standard. A very secure hotel as you need a 6 digit PIN to access the main door, lift and bedroom. The price however wasn't "Budget", but was in line with an expensive cost of living compared to the UK where I live. I'd be delighted to stay here again.

price- quality was ok * due to Covid19 the breakfast had to be ordered the evening before, but that was super good and easily served - easy to enter the building after 10PM with the code. We will probably return

The hotel is good, with a good location on the side of the train station, close to the beach and to the center of the city. There is a good view of the church and the plaza from the room. The rooms are very compact and the structures are very simple and yet the price for the hotels are not quite cheap.

Nice hotel, small room but what do you need more when you're at the see. Near to everything you want, shopping, restaurants, see,bars, sea life and fun . Breakfast was fine, all you needed was there Just good !
