Avoid these cold rooms with dysfunctional showers

Room was freezing and the small, ancient space heater was entirely insufficient. The shower had incredibly weak pressure, yet still managed to overflow onto the bathroom floor due to the broken drain. Overall a pretty miserable experience (despite the friendly staff and nice room decor). And the taxi from the airport for the hotel nullified most of the cost savings I had hoped to enjoy (they provide no shuttle and offer no public bus info).

Expectation Not Met – Disappointed Stay

I had high expectations for this stay, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. 1. Misleading Information – After a 14-hour flight, I arrived at the hotel and checked into a very simple room. When I asked the staff if my room had a safety box, they confirmed it did. However, upon entering, I found no safety box, which was frustrating. 2. Lack of Basic Amenities – Despite paying £70 per day, the hotel did not provide any bathroom amenities. I was told I had to purchase them separately, which is unacceptable for this price range. 3. No Bellman Assistance – There was no staff to assist with my luggage upon arrival, making the check-in process even more tiring after a long journey. 4. Room Phone Not Working – The in-room phone was faulty, meaning I had to physically go down to the reception every time I needed assistance. This was highly inconvenient. 5. Uncomfortable Room Location – My room was located directly above and beside an Esso gas station, which made me feel uneasy and unsafe throughout my stay. Overall, this hotel fell short of expectations in multiple ways. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves the service for future guests.

After a dreadful journey I arrived at the hotel, had a good check-in but stayed in the room for less than 10-seconds as it wreaked of cigarettes. Not just a whiff, but the acrid stench of a cheap pub ashtray. I returned to reception only to be told that they could only provide a lesser room for the same price. I suggested a few options but nothing! I was guest in the hotel but they couldn't (wouldn't) cut me a deal. Not points, a meal voucher, or anything. I was offered breakfast but the breakfast service started at the same time my flight was departing. I asked for a refund and went to another hotel. Staggeringly POOR customer service.

i stay here often , i initially started staying here after treatment or a ongoing illness as it allowed me space to relax away from my hectic home life and not impose on my family . But over the past year i have continually stayed weekly and if i am honest the staff made my hard times easier, they have become like extended family and eventually i shared with them my reasons for staying after radiotherapy. DHURUV or as i call him mr hair due to his amazing hair and attention to presentation is ever so patient with me because i check in during afternoon and in early hours of the morning i become restless so am up and down all the time often forgetting my key and he always smiles and makes time to ask how im doing. i generally am grumpy upon arrival as come directly from treatment but young Mohan always greats me with a smile as do the girls who i ask there name countlessly and they laugh and say we tell you all the time {obviously they are day shift so at this stage im grouchier and forgetfull ) But when my sickness settles im up and about from 2/3 am and DHURUV always makes time to see that i am ok. The staff here are a amazing team and always smile when greeting customers, and im sure i test their patience sometimes. They are a credit to the Accor group. I hope there hard work is aknowleged. As somebody that used to work in hospitality i have to same they have a amazing young and hard working team.

We didn't arrive until 11pm and the guy on reception was amazing, we had been in London a couple of hours and hadn't met a single friendly Londoner, the first person that helped us out with directions was an American that had moved to London. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. Will i go back? Yes if I have to fly from Heathrow. Otherwise no because London is the worst. I'm from the UK and I have been to some of the busiest city's in the world and London is definitely the worst, they are among some of the rudest people I have encountered
