Novotel Hanoi

We stayed in the Deluxe King Studio. The room was clean and well kept. Convenient to have a large fridge and washer/dryer combo. Gym was small but adequate with cardio machines, a few benches and dumbbells. Staff kind and very helpful. Room service was pricey ($1,000,000 VND/$65 AUD) for two very small mains (quite fatty meats) and a steamed rice. Breakfast was more reasonable ($300,000 VND/$20 AUD pp) for a buffet. We booked through All Accor and were told they had debited our account for the 5 nights however on arrival the Novotel had not received payment and we had to pay upfront ($11,000,000 VND). Would recommend just booking through the hotel and avoiding All Accor. The hotel is also quite far from activities and the old quarter, almost a 30min Grab ride so worth noting if you’re planning a lot of walking and sight seeing.

We enjoyed an extended stay in Hanoi, basing ourselves at the Novotel to explore the city and beyond. Our apartment was excellent, well appointed, great views, beautiful bathroom (hot showers) and extremely comfortable bed. The pool & gym were lovely and the massage experience recommended. Access to the Premier Lounge and an Accor member was most beneficial. Thank you very much to Ms Miah, Guest Relations, her warm, helpful manner made for positive chats each day and Ms Mai Anh looked after un in the evening. Thank you to Mr Chung who booked our transport to Mai Chau and followed up with us each day we were away. Also thank you to the hidden faces, those who cleaned our room and prepared food.

Chose the Novotel Thai Ha as I did have appointments very nearby so it was convenient to stay in this location. However, not ideal if you like the french quarter area in Hanoi for it's restaurants and bars. But for me this time priority was the proximity to my appointments. Got a wonderful 1 bed room apartment which is really spacious. I needed to scan a few pages and front office did not seem to be very helpful with my request as they told me that they did not have such facility in the hotel (a bit strange for a business hotel). At the executive lounge however, Juan from the lounge suggested me to go to the University next door to scan my documents. This was very helpful and he even made sure of the opening times and how best to walk there. Great service. Also met Mia, the Lounge Manager, and I did enjoy our conversations. Overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

The hotel is so nice and enjoyable to stay at. People who works here has a great understanding of what great hospitality is all about. The front desk and Concierge Tan was so briliant knowdege about Hanoi and a great multitasker. He efficiently worked to get me on a cruise to Halong Bay and Hanoi city tour, his recommendations were all on point. His hospitality is perfect. The stay at Novotel Hanoi was nice too with city view.
