Le Sofitel Luang Prabang est un hôtel très agréable et très confortable, assez intimiste (25 chambres seulement). Son jardin intérieur, à l'abri de l'extérieur, est très reposant et très bien entretenu. C'est un véritable havre de tranquillité en saison hivernale. La piscine est assez grande, le personnel très attentionné et souriant. L'hôtel est assez bien situé par rapport au centre ville et l'hôtel met une navette gratuite à disposition pour se rendre en centre ville. Nous remercions chaleureusement l'ensemble du personnel qui a aidé à rendre notre séjour très agréable et paisible, et plus particulièrement Monsieur Andrew Gianfranco, general manager (qui a de grandes qualités humaines), Ms Tou et Mandale (tous deux, service restauration). Chacune de ses personnes a contribué, à sa façon, à nous donner envie de revenir. Nous regrettons juste que l'hôtel ne dispose pas de lounge pour les membres Diamond et Platinum. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon et, en cette saison, c'était un régal de le prendre en "open air".

Le Sofitel Luang Prabang est un hôtel très agréable, très confortable, assez intimiste (25 chambres seulement) et assez bien situé (1 km a pied du centre ville. Une navette gratuite est mise à disposition par l'hotel pour se rendre en centreville). Son jardin intérieur, à l'abri de l'extérieur, est très reposant et très bien entretenu. La piscine est assez grande. C'est un véritable havre de tranquillité en saison hivernale. Le personnel a su garder une relative authenticité (sourire, amabilité, serviabilité) en dépit des nombreux touristes qui sont présents à Luang Prabang. Cependant, Luang Prabang est une ville classée Unesco et toute modification/modernisation/changement est soumis à autorisation. Cela se ressent par certains aspects de l'hôtel qui mériteraient des améliorations. D'ailleurs des travaux sont prévus. En outre, le niveau de service au Laos ne paraît pas au même niveau que d'autres pays et cela s'est ressenti un peu au Sofitel. Cependant, l'équipe en place, au premier plan, le general manager, Monsieur Andrew Gianfranco (que nous remercions très sincèrement) a pris en compte nos préoccupations et y a apporté une réponse au delà de nos attentes, rendant notre séjour au Sofitel vraiment agréable au point d'occulter certains aspects négatifs. Nous remercions également vivement Khun Tou avec qui nous avons beaucoup discuté, et Mandale qui a été très attentionné pendant tous notre séjour. En résumé, un séjour très reposant dans un hôtel très paisible où nous ne manquerons pas de revenir et pendant lequel nous avons gagné à connaître des gens (le personnel de l'hotel) formidables.

Le Sofitel Luang Prabang offre un séjour mémorable grâce à son authenticité, la gentillesse de son personnel et ses repas exceptionnels. La piscine, le spa et la salle de sport sont remarquables, tout comme l hôtel lui-même, riche en histoire. Les chambres sont impeccables et l’emplacement est idéal.
