sirisakl Families - TripAdvisor review

This is the second time we stayed this property, last time we stayed here was in 2019. This time we stayed here for 2 nights in almost similar room type but different building (old one). The room types here is a bit massive, you need to pay attention into it. A little bit odds happened since before my arrival date, I've never received any confirmation email from the hotel, I did booking through the phone. I couldn't complain as they might take note my email incorrectly and I didn't double check much details during check-in, I was busy with my son. By the way, at the check-in, we were treated by welcome drink, I cannot remember what it is, the point is we wait for nothing. We just sat and walk around the area which is pretty small without taking any check-in action until I have to ask for. This might be my fault as I thought they known we were waiting to check-in as they served welcome drinks to us. We booked this hotel for anniversary but no special setup or recognition. We asked the room on the ground floor as our son still scared to take elevator at that time, and we got the room on the ground floor. By the way, this hotel doesn't have elevator :-) You might known already about their facilities and activities offered by this property from other reviewers, which are still superb, we're totally agreed on that. So I'm going to skip that part. The supper negative experience this time is about the room as we had unexpected visitors at the first night (one in the balcony, one in the bathroom, and another over the headboard of the bed). When we found the first visitor (in the bathroom), we give a call to reception and 10 mins later maid came in and managed to move visitor out of the room. After the maid left for less than 5 mins, we found another visitor over the headboard. We called to reception again and asked how they going to manage this situation, we're told us they would ask maid to get it off and spraying with insecticide. Immediately, we ask them whether it's safe for us and emphasize that we have an infant. We got a replied that it would be safe so we asked them to check again. We waited for a while another maid came and help to get the visitor off. then we waited response from the front desk and also started packing stuff as we were thinking to move to another hotel, even it's at 8pm. We did followup call and we got another room but it was not on the ground floor. We accepted the new as it's better than changing to another hotel at that time. Certainly, we received apologies from the hotel and we're told that hotel would provide snacks complimentary on the next day. On the next day, we did notice in the evening that we hadn't received anything so we had to ask for :-/, really not sure they forgot or they sent to the wrong room. By the way, what we got are fruit plates, unexpected delicious cookies, color books and a teddy bear. We also noticed several staffs didn't take off their shoes before getting in the room. I might be wrong for this one, usually, I noticed this is pretty common for 4-5 star resorts in Huahin, or even in Thailand. And, I should be wrong as their manager also noticed this and mentioned to the staff to take off the shoes before getting in. The good side, we didn't use much facilities as we have an infant. We had good experiences in every meals at white oven, we had 2 breakfast and 2 dinners at this place. It's a bit pricy for us as we didn't have any discount. But, if you have a dinning Accors member then it would be very good option.

On the positive note, we are pleased to know that you and your family had good experiences at our White Oven restaurant both your breakfast and dinner and enjoyed our tons of activities and facilities provided during your stay. We are encouraging you and your family to experience our new courses Wibit at the signature pool which are more fun and challenging than previous ones! In accordance with our H2O Water Scooters which you should not have missed! And our newly family get-together Scooter Sidecar & Chopper Bikes which you and your son will have a chance to ride together around the resort as well. I’m giving SO/ Hua Hin five stars because the system doesn’t allow ten stars. This hotel has the best team of staff I have ever met. Everyone greets me by my last name, and takes ownership of all problems, ensuring that every single issue is resolved satisfactorily. They constantly check with me whether everything is ok, and the daily turndown snack ensures I’m well fed. There are many facilities in the hotel compound, I’m sure families will love it. But if you’re someone who likes tranquility like me, I suggest getting a villa as the main pool might be a bit overwhelming with the screaming kids. Otherwise, you can enjoy the adult pool in front of the gym, or do some reading at the small private beach. I must also commend the chefs, because the food is simply amazing, the lobster pasta at Beach Society and crab paste fried rice at White Oven blew me away. I particularly like the swings at the beach, and it would be great if one can be installed at each of the private villas, replacing the couch under the shelters now. Also, special thanks to Khun Boy for making sure I’m well taken care of even on your off day. If Khun Boy’s boss is reading this, give him a raise already, he’s been walking around speaking to all the guests to make them feel at home. Thank you again to the great team at SO/, including the SO/ Spa ladies, you all have been great and I’ll be back for more! Shaun Choh
