Pro’s - Staff were extremely friendly and polite - nothing was too much trouble. - Rooms were incredibly comfortable, with climate control and excellent noise insulation. - Bathrooms had excellent free toiletries - Rooms were fitted minibars, which were reasonably priced considering the calibre of hotel - Location was absolutely top notch - very short walk from old town and main square - also opposite a shopping mall / train station to serve every retail need you could possibly think of. Cons - None Things to consider - One of our party had a suite. Whilst it was a great room, the step up from the bedroom to the balcony was a bit high and for those with mobility issues may be a problem. Ideally a step would be ideal. Overall this made for an excellent base for a city break in Krakow. Whilst it is just outside the city wall, it’s well worth staying here rather than inside, as you’re still within a short walking distance of everything and some of the free walking tours leave from just around the corner. At the end of my stay I didn’t want to leave. I genuinely cannot fault the place. It’s a brilliant hotel and I would stay here again without hesitation.

We booked for the Mercure for 4 nights on a non refundable deal. Then our friend died and we had to move the dates - they were extremely accommodating and allowed us to change the dates without extra charge, that was really appreciated by us. The hotel itself is in a fantastic position, a few minutes walk from the main square in the old town and straight across the road from the train station, which made it so easy to get to and from the airport. The hotel is immaculate, the bedroom is reasonably sized and we had a proper comfortable double bed (not as many others have twins pushed together) and it was soooo comfortable. Bathroom was modern and clean with a proper hairdryer, which is important to us with longer hair! The bar area is lovely, we spent some time having drinks there although we didn’t have food. Only tiny negative was that we were asked to put down 400 zloties at the beginning of our stay which seemed a lot - so make sure you have some money on your card that you don’t need when you check in. They refunded at the end what we hasn’t used and to be fair it was released almost immediately, but I had used my wise card rather than my credit card. Brilliant stay and would definitely recommend and return.

Mercue Krakow is a great hotel. The bedrooms are a good size and super clean, the bathrooms are great, there is lots of storage, and the hotel smells AMAZING!! The staff at the hotel are some of the most helpful and friendliest I have ever met, flowers and chocolate on arrival and pretzels on departure. We had an amazing stay from start to finish. It is 10 minutes walk into the old town, streets feel super safe to walk back to your hotel on an evening and you are able to pay a lower price then staying in the old town itself but just to keep in mind if you wouldn't want to be that bit further out. I would defo stay here again and recommend to friends and family

From the moment we walked into the Mercure we felt very welcome. The reception staff, Natalia, Daria, Iwona and the other lovely girls who's names we didn't get, are all so friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Basia and the other staff in the bar/restaurant were also amazing, attentive and friendly. Nothing ever seemed too much.I've never stayed anywhere where all the staff have been so lovely and took such an interest in the guests. The hotel itself is immaculate and very stylish with a lovely atmosphere. Food and drink was al of great quality and the choice for breakfast was incredible.It's almost opposite the train station and less than a 10 minute walk into the old town. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend to other visitors to Krakow.

Excellent hotel experience from start to finish. We arrived at 9am and although our room wasn’t ready, we was able to leave our bags there whilst we explored krakow for the day. The bar/restaurant staff were also very pleasant. The hotel and rooms are very clean and look very modern. The hotel is located in a brilliant area, right outside of a big shopping centre, also about 10-15 mins slow walk to the main square. If you’re doing the Auschwitz tour, then this is perfect too as our couch tour picked us up from a coach spot right outside! we also did the zakopane trip whilst staying here and the hotel provided us with 2 extra towels on the day to take with us. Thanks for making our krakow experience great.
