Awful hotel

Awful hotel really hard beds. You hear the trains from first thing and the breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had ruined our holiday asked to change rooms and was told all beds are the same. Would avoid if u want a good night's sleep

Brilliant 7-night stay!

Had a brilliant 7 night stay here at ibis budget Krakow. We stayed in the family room with a double and a single bed which were both very comfy, and the room was very spacious. The bathroom was a bit strange with a separate toilet room and a shower that comes out straight into the room - this wasn't an issue for us at all and worked quite well, but can see why it wouldn't be ideal for certain travelers. The best thing about this hotel is its location - right next to the train station and a huge shopping centre with a Carrefour supermarket inside. Super easy to get the train to and from the airport and to the Wieliczka salt mine with the station so close (there is an underpass right by the entrance to the hotel which leads straight onto the platforms and into the main station). Very short walk into the Old Town, and the area around the hotel and the walk into town feel very safe. Check in and check out were both very easy. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and approachable. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have it, but the Carrefour in the mall has a very good bakery section for very low prices.

If you want to pay money for a hotel that has big groups of teenagers on school trips that scream, bang on walls and doors, run up and down corridors until the early hours having no consideration for others than yes go ahead and book this hotel. If you value sleep then id book elsewhere and avoid this at all costs.

It was OK if you are just wanting a place to lay your head down but we were shocked how weird the rooms were, the toilet was in a small cupboard, the shower and sink were in the bedroom, no separate bathroom like you get in other budget hotels, however it was clean but only two pillows on the bed and none stored anywhere else in the room, the bed was okish but very cheaply done, check in was OK but not very informative, would we stay here again? No.

Stayed here for 3 nights. It’s very well located for the main train station, Krakow Glowny. Once you exit the station via the underpass the ibis and the Ibis Budget ( which are joined together) are 50 yards right ahead of you. You can walk into old town in 12 minutes and the local huge mall in 5. Room is typical Ibis Budget, same layout wherever I’ve been and perfectly functional with very comfortable beds. Wish they’d put the light switches a bit higher as they stick into my head when I’m trying to read in bed but a minor point really. Staff were polite and helpful and printed me out a timetable for my train travel to the airport on asking. There’s no hairdryer in the room but they’ll loan you a good one at reception. Checking in and out is easy and fast, particularly check out. Room and bathroom clean and well kept with very nice cleaning ladies who were very helpful when I couldn’t open my room door. The only gripe I have was the breakfast. Very poor choice, very poor quality with no hot food at all. Couple of breads, couple of cheeses, lots of pickles. Now if you were paying budget prices this wouldn’t trouble me at all, I’d say it’s worth about £3.50 for the convenience mainly. But no, you are expected to part with 45 Polish zlotys for it. That’s £9. In a city where you can get a fabulous evening meal for under £15, it’s absolutely extortionate. So stay at Ibis budget but whatever you do don’t buy the breakfast. Walk to the mall and get something much better!
