Enjoyable family break in Krakow

This hotel has an ideal riverside location which is 15 mins walk from the centre of Krakow. The service is excellent and my family and I were very well looked after by Maciej, Dominika, Roman and Gabriella of the reception team in particular. I travelled with my bicycle and was allowed to store my bike in our room at my request. The gym is good and the swimming pool is great. We stayed for two weeks and this was marred by very noisy roadworks directly outside the hotel, but hopefully this will be completed soon. All in all a very good stay and we really appreciated the hotel’s hospitality.

The air con didn’t work in our river-facing 2nd floor room. No solution from reception, so we were forced to leave the window open to sleep. Then drunk people on the streets at night and roadworks from 06:30am. The hotel can’t control what happens outside but they should have provided rooms comfortable enough to sleep in. Other issues included needing to all reception every day because the body wash and hand soap ran out. Not enough towels for the number of people staying in the room. Cups not cleaned. The breakfast selection was good, but the restaurant very noisy. The welcome was dour and full of scowls. Waiter spilled coffee all over the table. Accidents happen but the same waiter had already nearly ran me over while rushing about without looking where he was going. even before the stay, the hotel asked me to provide my credit card details via unsecured email and didn’t even provide my name or booking reference. So many little mess ups, but the horrible temperature in the room (despite being 17C outside during the day) meant we couldn’t good a good night’s sleep. A hotel has to provide a good night’s sleep, or otherwise it’s a failure. If you must stay, then don’t pay upfront and ask for a room away from the riverside.

Amazing and would definitly would return.

Amazing modern room 2 double beds and got 2 rooms for the whole family. Loved all the amenities. The pool is very nice all the family was in the pool everyday not too busy and a really nice jacuzzi pool noodles but quite deep and a shallow end for your younger ones a beautiful gym and towels just before you enter the area dressing rooms nice. Lovely games room with a pool table ping pong fooseball and gameboy. Breakfast was lovely . Rituals were in every bathroom and a light up mirror was a great walking distance from the square and everything. Overall great experience and would definitly return

The hotel is situated in the middle of a building site. I had the unfortunate experience of having to navigate my hire car through the unpacked and suspension damaging bomb site. The hotel is dated and our twin room was lacking power sockets anywhere near the beds. The tea / coffee facilities in the room were rubbish. The safe would not work and the only half decent thing was the shower. The buffet breakfast was mediocre and made worse by the staff allowing a guest to eat his breakfast in his dressing towel whilst displaying his middle age body. The old town is 10 mins away. I can safely state that this is the worse Novotel that I have stayed at and clearly used for tourist groups.

We stayed here with a tour group with Riviera Travel. The hotel has a great location, the beds are very comfortable and breakfast had a good choice. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and the food was very nice. Special mention to our waitress Olena who was very welcoming, professional and helpful. She is an asset to the hotel.
