Poor facilities and bedding

Positives - clean, warm and not far from main part of the city. Poor - bed and pillow quality - 1 pillow each supplied, very cheap and old polyester filled pillow that was all broken up inside - like cotton wool balls. There is another cushion in the room in a very torn and worn pillow case - in such bad condition I would hesitate to use it for my dog. Facilities in room - no kettle or tea and coffee facility in room - you can get hotish water from a machine down the hall but for a 3 star hotel not to have such facilities seems weird. TV in room had limited channels (2 x news and MTV 90s for some reason) with a Netflix button that didn't work. We didn't really want it but to have the hope taken from us was a bit galling. It was okay but rather than Ibis quality, I would equate it to a 2 star Etap in this chain.

Good location about 20 minute walk to old town. Shopping centre and train station right near hotel. Very comfortable beds, we was able to check in early once we signed up to a loyalty program which for us was worth it after an early morning flight. Downfall was there was no kettle in the rooms.

It was okay since we only spent one night there before catching a 5 AM train. It's convenient, being very close to the central station. I usually opt for a more luxurious choice when I travel, but this was just a step for some rest. Otherwise, the room is tiny, and the bed is even smaller (my partner, who is 1.87 m, felt like sleeping on a chair, mind that. I am 1.67 m and it felt short as well). No cocktails at the bar if you want to chill after a long haul.

At 1st the room and the washroom seems to be a bit small for comfort ... but your get over it very soon and dont feel the small size altogether. Being a stones throw from Krakow - Glowny main train station, its also very accessible to public transport, Very pleasant staff, Nice b/fast spread, Located next to a Mall, Walking distance to the Old Town and Quiet. (There were some oops moment though ... they changed the locks of the entire floor where we stayed and didnt even tell us. We fumbled with the swipe cards and when we went to the reception to complain, they did apologise for this lapse). One advise:- They should stock bit foodie knick-knacks in the room. This wasnt there and is something basic that seems to be missing. But overall, we enjoyed our stay at Ibis - Krakow Stare Miasto.

Just popped in for a drink on the way back to our apartment. Tables and chairs outside near the main road. Good selection of local beers at the bar. Bar service. Pleasant enough. Would call in again if passing. Approx 10 mins walk north of the main square.
