Hotel Mercure Kraków Stare Miasto 4 gwiazdki

I stayed at Mercure Stare Miasto Hotel in Krakow, Poland with my spouse on the nights of September 14th and 15th. I am a Silver-level member of Accor Hotels and have always preferred Accor Hotels in many countries around the world. Until now, we have never had such a bad experience. During our stay at the hotel, we encountered several issues: The air conditioning in the room was broken. We couldn't adjust the temperature, and it was uncomfortable. After reporting the issue to the reception in the morning, it was fixed later in the day. There was dirt inside the coffee cup during breakfast. The cheese at breakfast appeared to have been left out for a long time, as it was yellowed and had curled edges. Our room's window faced a business establishment just 3 meters away. The employees there would drink their coffee while looking into our room. Throughout our stay, we had to keep the curtains closed both day and night. Even during the day, we had to use lamps to have some privacy. I reported this situation to the reception, and they simply said, "This is a city hotel, it's normal." However, there were rooms that didn't have this issue. If I had been informed about this during the reservation process, I wouldn't have had to spend my vacation in a room with only lamp light by paying extra. Instead of a wall, there was frosted glass between the toilet and the room. When I had to use the bathroom at night and turned on the light, the room would unavoidably light up as well, disturbing the other person sleeping.

Profesjonalny i bardzo przyjazny, pomocny Personel, świetne śniadania, wygodne łóżka, ogólnie wyjątkowo udany pobyt.

Easy access to the old town only a few minutes walk. Bed comfortable large walk in shower, air conditioning, friendly staff, breakfast was cheaper to pop over to the shopping centre opposite for some delicious bread, pretzels/ pastries etc and was a fraction of the price, Arrived early as the flight was the early hours on arrival room was ready which was a bonus freshen up then into the old town. Was central for most things the other side of shopping centre was the station so didnt have to carry luggage to far! When we checked out the hotel put luggage in luggage room until we needed to catch train In the evening. Would certainly stay here again if we return.
