This hotel is across the street from the train station--so convenient! It's very clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and even though it's across the street from the shopping center and the main train station, this hotel is incredibly quiet. I highly recommend this hotel.

Well located poorly managed

Rooms cleaning had a lot to be desired, on surfaces ved changed but not really vacuumed. Local restaurant had poor service. When room service which is charged, missed part of my order, the staff appeared to be annoyed having to go back.

We selected this hotel because of proximity to the main rail station and 'Old Town'. It was perfect for our needs. The staff was abundant in their help and service. We were most impressed by the sound proofing of our room. Being next the rail station and a major tram and bus stop we naturally expected some noise at night but it was amazingly quiet. We did not have to create any white noise to hide the sounds. Greatly exceeded our expectations. We are letting everyone we know traveling to Krakow that this is the place to stay. We had a third party tour to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines cancel the night before which added stress to our stay. The staff was willing help find replacements if possible and suggested use of the train system could mitigate our situation. We ended up using trains to get to both and hit every destination and on site tour as planned!

Well appointed hotel for business travelers

I've stayed in several hotels in Krakow for my business travels and Mercure is by far the best. The hotel is very well appointed, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet is very nice. Mercure is conveniently located across from the Galeria Krakowska and steps from the Old Town, so it's a nice option for holiday visitors too. I'll be sure to book Mercure for my visits going forward.
