My book number didn't record in the hotel, i had to called the hotel 3-4 times just to ensure my booking was recorded, really SLOW RESPONSE and have no responsibility to call back The breakfast was not that good The refrigerator was broken, so We need to wait 2-3 hours only to call the mechanic The good points only well located, center jogja, clean room (but the room was so small for 5 stars hotel)

The room actually good. We ordered a non smoking room, but the room we got smelled of cigarette. We complained about it, the staff put an air filter. But the room still smells. We stayed for two days.

I am always satisfied to stay at Mercure throughout Indonesia so far. But at Mercure Adi Sucipto, there are several things that make me disappointed. 1. I just returned to the hotel at half past 1 am (first day). Very tired after a day of sightseeing and need to rest. But suddenly at 5 am, I was disturbed by the sound of music that was quite loud in the room which I thought was the sound of my wife's cellphone. But after I checked it that there were speakers on the ceiling above the minibar that made music. What the hell is it? I don't need music at 5 am. What I need is quiet so I can sleep well. The music just turned off after I called the receptionist. After that I couldn't sleep anymore and I lost my rest time. Something I have never experienced in years of staying at Mercure all over Indonesia. 2. At 9 am, I have breakfast at the restaurant for about 30 minutes. But as soon as I returned to the room, my room was cleaned. Even though the condition of my room was still a mess where a lot of my wife and my personal belongings should have been stored before the room was cleaned. My wallet is still lying around, my cellphone is still charging, my laptop is open, my suitcase is also open. Indeed, nothing is lost, but who guarantees that my wallet is not opened, my laptop is not seen and other things that are quite private. The cleaning service officer should have made sure to the receptionist whether the guest in the room asked for the room to be cleaned or not. I meet a cleaning service officer who cleaned my room and I was reprimanded. But the answer is procedure. The procedure is that the room is knocked twice, if there is no answer then the room will be cleaned (there is no tool to tell whether the room wants to be cleaned or not which is usually hung on the door handle, at my room). I don't think the procedure is correct. Because it could be that guests in the room are sleeping and don't hear a knock. Is it justified to enter the room when guests are in the room just because they don't hear the cleaning service door knocking? Or there are guests who really don't want their rooms cleaned because they only stay one or two nights. I think the hotel management should ensure the privacy of guests like that. And I hope the hotel management can pay attention to the things above for future improvements. Thank you!

After 2 years I back with very high expectation but still not meet my standards at all 1st of all I knew as gold member we will get more than 2 bottled of water but ever since day 1 I asked the FO said standards room only 2 per day I stayed for 3 days What's the different between gold member guest and non member ? If there's no different at all why should we join as privileged member if we can't get extra water ??

I got upgraded room from standard room to premium one, very big and nice room but unfortunately there is no refrige inside, and tv channel is limited. Breakfast food varian is excelent. Nice to stay there

I got room 881, room condition was ok, the lack of the room are : the door was hard to close, a lot of moss on bathroom wall, no view at all (can't differentiate between night and day). All staff were nice, good of hotel location.

Black and muddy shower ruined our experience

I have stayed at various Grand Mercure Hotels in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Malang) and they all have been excellent and when I booked Grand Mercure Yogyakarta, I did have an expectation. Moreover, I have stayed at Ibis Adi Sucipto previously, which is connected to Grand Mercure Adi Sucipto. At that time, I had breakfasts at Grand Mercure and the breakfasts and staff were fabulous and my stay at Ibis was very good. This time, I stayed with my family and booked two rooms at Grand Mercure Adi Sucipto. The positives are: -Clean rooms and comfortable beds -Good location near a mall and many good restaurants -I enjoyed the gym -Fast Wifi -As always, the best part about this hotel is the breakfasts and the staff at the restaurant. The breakfasts were superb and the staff there were excellent. The negatives: -The hotel DOES NOT have connecting rooms. So for me staying with little children, this could be uncomfortable. -We got rooms facing the street and it could get noisy for me as a light sleeper -The shower streams in both our rooms were not good and smooth and they clearly did not represent a Grand Mercure standard -No hand shower. Again, for us traveling with little children, this can be a discomfort. On the last day of our stay and I was about to check out, I was taking a shower when all of sudden, the shower turned black, gross, and muddy. The sink water also turned muddy. I was stunned as this was happening at a beloved Grand Mercure property, which is one of my favorite hotel brands. Luckily, I had several bottled waters and I ended up using them to finish my shower. During check out, I notified the front desk about this and the staff just casually apologized and told me that they were doing some maintenance or renovation so the muddy shower was affecting whole THREE floors including mine. That's it? if that was the case, why didn't they at least notify the guests beforehand about this so we could anticipate by taking early showers? Our stay experience was not bad until this muddy shower basically just ruined the whole experience. The only saving grace of this ordeal was the breakfasts, which were always very good, and the staff at the restaurant. I hope this won't happen again at a Grand Mercure hotel.

...but this is not a hotel for a chilly, quite and relaxed weekend. Its a place for conventions, huge events, meetings.... We travelled to Yogyakarta for pleasure, for a long weekend. It was our plan to enjoy the amenities of the hotel as mentioned on the ALL Accor website. Just beside, I am ACCOR member since 12 years and having the Gold Status. The check-in, the room, the gym all OK, but the hotel is just big, just crowded and just uncomfortable. There is not a single spot, where you would like to sit down, relax and may be have a drink. The whole hotel seems and looks like a big waiting room / hall in a train or bus station. Especially the "Bar", omg, a cold looking waiting room, but not a cozy comfortable room where you can enjoy a nice drink or beer. The restaurant is crowded, the design of the restaurant and its furniture, the huge space outside the terrace; who did this?? The whole terrace is a boiling, hot spot without any shadow (same the pool area), just uncomfortable...and most ugly, no room and space for non-smokers. As a non-smoker you have no chance to escape, the whole hotel is focussing on the 90% indonesian smokers. Not nice... Under the line. If you need a hotel due to business trip or to attend a meeting, just for a night, - yes. But for a pleasure time, holiday or long weekend, - a no go. This hotel is nothing for a romantic or relaxed time for 2. Even the extremly helpful and friendly staff, especially the team (including the trainees) of the restaurant, cannot hide the facts of afore mentioned. We checked out already our alternatives for our next stay in Yogyakarta, - our choice will be the "NOVOTEL" or "The Phoenix".
