Some might not like it, but it suits the cheaper side. Great air cond. Quiter than on main road. Muted outside noise, so more sleepable. Yes, other guests might be a tad noisy, but its ok. Compact it is, but prices it cost is still cheaper than others. Has hob and microwave. Easy to find on Therry St. Onsite eatery not open at all since covid.

Who cook curry in a hotel room!!!

The room got curry smell, and the internet is so bad that I have to use my own data for work. Suppose the room should be clean and free of polluted air. Have to open the window for better ventilation which is sub-standard to Mercure brand.

I drove down from Sydney and arrived at the hotel quite late. And all I wanted to do was sleep. Now you would think that as I arrived late that my room would be clean. But when I got into the room it had a smell like someone had cooked a curry. At least make the room clean. At least present a ‘clean room’.

I would say the hotel has a great location and the room size was ok. The only sad thing is room rates do not come with breakfast and they have a nice restaurant at level 9. You also can hear footsteps sound in the room. On 15 June 2025, I wanted to use their laundromat service at level 10 and I went down to the reception around at 8 20pm to ask for a change of 10-dollar coins. The receptionist was an Indian guy who is working in the evening shift. he took his cashier box and slammed on the counter top saying that I don't have coins to exchange as I'm having the big notes. AUD$50 only. After negotiations and there isn't any ways for me to was my dirty laundry. The attitude of the staff is terrible.. he even can asked me to go Macdonald to change $10 coins.. this is very terrible service that i have encountered in my like and i'm a ex-hotelier.. Moreover, you are providing the laundromat service for your customers. The receptionist should have take his own initiative to ensure there are sufficient coins in the cash box instead of telling the guest to either what I can do for you or you go and change by yourself in ordered to use machines at level 10. I hope the management whom see these and make some improvement on these area moreover this is a hotel chain.

OK but wouldn't stay there again.

Good location, decent price. The room was tired and a bit worn and old (though clean). Noisy fridge. Rattly elevators. Heating didn't seem to work properly. Other options at similar or slightly lower prices are better so I wouldn't stay there again.
