Our stay was truly exceptional. The hotel’s location is fantastic, but what made the experience stand out was the staff’s genuine kindness and hospitality. Stylish and great value hotel in excellent location to explore Istanbul. We shared a room with our 16 year old son. There was plenty of space, comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. The hotel has an excellent roof top restaurant with great views of the city and the Bosphorous. Menu is pricy but food is high quality and breakfast is a great opportunity to enjoy the space and the quality of the cooking at a good price point.

First of all, many thanks to Mr. Kutay Yavuzyilmaz from FnB and the breakfast team — as well as the entire staff from a to z ... This was our third stay this year as a family, and once again, we booked two rooms and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was excellent, the view is amazing, the staff is always kind, helpful, and smiling — and the location is just perfect. We highly recommend this place. Thank you again!

Bed bugs – dismissive staff, no compensation, and misleading “sea view” room

Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by a bed bug found in our room - an issue that was handled with disbelief and minimal accountability from the hotel. When reported, staff suggested the bug “flew in with us,” implying we brought it in ourselves, even though bed bugs do not fly. We were moved to another room and offered basic laundry service, but no dry cleaning, and our request for room compensation or compensation for dry cleaning costs at a bare minimum was denied. What followed was an exhausting process: 1. We spent over $390 on dry cleaning and laundry once home, as many of our items -formalwear for a wedding - couldn’t be machine washed. 2. We invested 3+ hours disinfecting shoes, electronics, and personal items to avoid bringing any pests into our home. 3. More than $1,000 in luggage is now unusable due to contamination risk. 4. The “express” laundry returned to us at 1:30am the night before a 7am flight was still wet, meaning we had to pack this wet into our luggage and then relaunder again at home. Adding to the frustration, our original "sea view" room was misleading. it was mostly a large wall with two tall, narrow windows on either side. Definitely not what was pictured or expected for the premium rate. Although the staff was polite and the breakfast pleasant, the lack of ownership over a serious hygiene issue, the dismissive attitude, and the refusal to offer meaningful compensation made for an extremely disappointing experience. I’ve attached a photo of the bed bug for reference.

We would like to inform you that, based on this professional inspection, no evidence of bed bugs or similar pests was found in the room you occupied or elsewhere in the hotel. The findings were documented in an official report, which has been shared with you via email for full transparency. Additionally, we would like to clarify that at no point did our team intend to imply that you were responsible for the presence of the insect. Our staff simply explained that, according to pest control experts, such insects can occasionally be introduced from external environments — this was meant as a general explanation, not a personal attribution. We sincerely apologize if this was misunderstood. In light of these findings, we would like to confirm that, apart from the 50% discount already applied to your total laundry and dry-cleaning expenses, no further refund or compensation will be issued. We appreciate your understanding and thank you once again for your feedback. The comfort and satisfaction of our guests remain our top priorities, and we hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future. Kind regards

I have had the privilege of staying at The Artisan Hotel Istanbul many times for business as well as leisure and it is always a magical experience. The hotel is very stylish, comfortable and clean. The location is perfectly situated and it is at easy walking distance to many sites and transport. All of these are very good reasons to visit this hotel, but it is the human aspect that endears me to this place. The management and the staff at this hotel are exceptional. They are genuinely kind and interested in giving their guests the best experience. They never cease to amaze me with their attention to detail and thoughtfulness. There are an additional two hotel ambassadors at the entrance of this beautiful establishment that make this hotel irresistible. Their names are Lady and Sophie. They are two beautiful Anatolian Shepherds that the hotel takes care of impeccably. This mother and daughter duo have found safety and love in this magical place for many years and have a huge fan base. I am definitely one of them. Lady and Sophie give an added depth to the positive experience staying at this hotel. The management and staff have shown me their true humanity in the way that they take care of these beautiful dogs. As a dog lover this truly warms my heart. The Artisan Hotel Istanbul is a must if you're visiting Istanbul. You will not regret staying at this place and I promise you that it will not be your last visit.
