Hotel room 0.5 km from the reception and hotel restaurant. Gold status guests did not receive a welcome drink. Breakfast was paid for when booking and the receptionist wanted to take the money again.

This hotel has no recognition for Accor Silver status. TV not working, breakfast items not replaced, storage room unsafe to keep the luggage

1) Check-in: We arrived in the hotel after 13:00, aware that it was a bit before the established timing for check-in (14:00). After a long trip driving with two kids, we kindly asked the possibility to allow us to check-in, but according to the receptionist "her system does not allow to check in before 14:00, even if the room is ready". I have been an Accor guest for more than 15 years (several years as Gold status), and Accor hotels staff use to do their best to accommodate guests or keep their luggage in a safe place. The receptionist offered an open and improvised "storage room" to put our valises and backpacks close to the main entrance, and suggested us to go out and return after 14:00. That storage room was not safe at all, its door was kept permanently opened, any person can enter, takes out and puts down their luggage without any staff controlling what they do inside the room, no control of cameras and no receipt was given with the quantity of luggage left. I was afraid to let my company notebook in that open room, and I asked the receptionist to keep it safe, which was kindly accepted, this time with a receipt. In summary, a non-standard and unsafe process to keep luggage in this hotel, some items are kept without control and other items are kept safe with a receipt. In addition, Accor hotels also offer a welcome drink voucher to all loyal Silver guests, which was not offered in this hotel, so the Accor loyalty program is not recognised in Ibis Styles Parma Toscanini. 2) Room The family room was in the annexe (300 meters away walking from the reception) and the TV of the kids room (the one with a sofa bed), was not working. I made a picture of the message in the screen "Nessun Segnale", and when I went to the reception, it was said to "disconnect all cables and connect them again and press the button html in the remote control". I went back to the room, follow that cable procedure and of course, it still didn't work. In addition, that button "html" does not exist in the remote control. As it was late and no willing to walk again at night to the far reception. we just stayed the for of us watching TV in the room it was working. 3) Breakfast The breakfast offers a good variety of products but if you arrive at 09:30, be preapred not to count with all options (scrambled eggs were finished but not replaced anymore). My sun asked a boiled egg, wishing that it would be freshly prepared then, however in 30 seconds we received a cold egg, probably directly from the fridge. Although the breakfast goes until 10:00, you need to arrive early to count with all options. 4) Decoration of the room I have a picture of the decoration of the kids room (the one with a sofa bed), and I would like to share with the appropriate team, as this questionnaire does not allow to include pictures. thank you for your kind support. I know that this was an exceptional case and I hope my comments are constructive to avoid similar cases. I want to remain as Accor loyal guest and willing to recover the Gold status soon. regards, Henrique D.
