Stayed at this hotel as part of a package on a coach trip to see strictly come dancing in the local arena. It was our second stay. Check in was seamless and the staff friendly and welcoming. We had a room on the 4th floor which was clean and comfortable, check out on a Sunday was 12 mid day which was generous. I did find the pillows were lumpy bumpy and a bit hard though. Breakfast in the morning was adequate This hotel is extremely central for the utilita arena and only a stones throw from the Shakespeare pub. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a.bus tour. A fabulous stay was had. Room was spotlessly clean, powerful shower, and a good size room. Hairdryer and iron and ironing board provided. Breakfast was great. A cooked.breakfast ir a choice of meats, salads, fresh fruit and pastries and pancakes were made available. Everything was hot and the staff kept topping up all the time. They worked really hard. A coffee machine was also available. An ice machine was also available in the foyer with free magazines also. Close to all amenities, and the canal. Have stayed.in Birmingham many times to attend concerts, and have stayed in broad Street hotels, but will now.Come.to this hotel everything. Excellent value for money, and all staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. A wonderful stay.

Good, modern and clean hotel, within easy walking distance of the town centre and the Utility Arena. A comfortable mattress, and a really great choice for breakfast. Good feature was a tea, coffee and hot chocolate machine & an ice machine in the reception area which was available 247. Only thing that would make it better would be some better pillows! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

A really great budget hotel. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I stayed on a Wednesday, there was hardly any road noise. A great location for central Birmingham. One of the lifts wasn't working but an engineer was on site. There's an underground car park The hairdryer was powerful, good shower and a great heating system with instructions. Breakfast was the usual Ibis standard, and there was plenty to choose from. Knocked a star off because the pillows were rock hard. Otherwise, a great hotel for the price. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for one night with friends as we were going to a going at the O2 It is central, but the walk up the hill was 10 minutes and I'm not very fit. Check in / bar staff, really lovely. The double room was big, and despite lots of lights, it was still quite dark. The bed was ok, not terrible or amazing. The bathroom was well equipped, good lighting in here to do make up. My only real gripe were the pillows, they were all very fat and firm, I know some people like these, but if I stay again, I would take my own. I like a choice of flat and or soft ones. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment. The drinks at the bar were expensive but on a par with most hotels. One tip, ask for a room that doesn't face the street. Although the windows were good at sound proofing, Birmingham is still a city and there is a bit of noise.
